Increasing the Cloud Variable Limit
sorry, I have literally no idea about javascript and htmlHow the and the site is already laggy enoughhell would this make the site more laggy? It would contain the same amount of data storage. Do you even have any idea of what makes a webpage laggy?

This suggestion is trying to find a plausible way around the lag/storage troubles while expanding the abilities you have, did you even read the OP and the site is already laggy enough, no support

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/485326740/ . (I didn't optimize it fully so it is a bit slow)Really cool, but I don't think cloud project makers would like to implement this every time they need to make more cloud variables. You can implement your own cloud storage engine to split the 2560 digits between different variables however you want. For example, here is mine:

it's an educated guess, if a server is managing more data then it would have a harder time doing it which means more lag, that's my logicThen don't make assumptions about things you don't know about.sorry, I have literally no idea about javascript and htmlHow the and the site is already laggy enoughhell would this make the site more laggy? hello
i know im very late to this. but you can actually get more than 10.
make another project with cloud variables, store it in your backpack, then go back to your project, and pull out those cloud variables!
super simple. but i havent tested it, so im not sure.
let me know if this worked!

No support right now because this would be too expensive to do.

Fun_Cupcake_i81: What, were you expecting not to see the utc - 12 thing again? THE UTC - 12 THIGN ALWAYS RETURNS. ALWAYS.
medians: I knew it would happen. I was the one who started it last year.
Fun_Cupcake_i81: Well then if you didn't want it back maybe you need to time travel to last year and fix that
Oh wait if you could time travel I think we all know exactly when you would go-

Use cloud list workarounds
Ya but the thing is, is that cloud vars have a character limit also. And the limit is so dang small you can't even have the thought of any player persistence. Because if your game gets really popular, then you can't hold enough data to actually satisfy each player.

what about the servers?
guide to make good projects <3
Think! Is saying if you support a suggestion necessary? No! People can just tell by your constructive post after it. You have more freedom on your tone!
Forumers, especially new, may also get upset if you say “no support!!!” at them! They may take the whole post in a negative tone, and that makes them upset!
Instead, you can kindly say why their suggestion has cons. They will take it as “constructive criticism” and be happy. - dertermenter

Increasing the Cloud Variable Limit
Sometimes I need more than 10 cloud variables, and sometimes I need one cloud variable containing more than 256 numbers, but obviously because there are too many Scratchers, the Scratch servers can not handle so many variables containing so much data, therefore, the Scratch Team made limits at 10 cloud variables per project and 256 numbers per variable.
For example, if you make a cloud vote, everyone can reload the project and vote again, to solve this you would need to make a list of all users who already have voted, but splitting up one variable into 5 variables is really hard.
My Idea is that the amount of numbers per variable depends on the number of cloud variables. For example, if you have 1 variable the limit is 2560 numbers if you have 10 variables the limit is 256 numbers if you have 256 variables the limit is 10 numbers, etc. This would be really useful for some projects.
Would be expensive for Scratch Team. No support

Increasing the Cloud Variable Limit
I don't really see why this would be necessary. I could see someone getting confused about how the cloud variable limit works. The way it works now is honestly more straightforward, but I do see how this would help more experienced scratchers. I just don't really get why you'd always need the maximum cloud variable capacity in your project. Plus, can scratch even handle 10^2560 or will it just turn into “Infinity”?

Hello Scratch Team. You have been pushing a liberal political agenda on this site for far too long. This site should stay out of politics. People should be able to still post their political opinions, but there shouldn’t be any “official” political stance or Scratch. The ST is not going to change this on their own, and shoot down any attempts asking them to change. Please put this in your signature if you agree that
Scratch should be politically neutral.
The ST’s biggest defense is that they’re being welcoming, but they can be perfectly welcoming of all people and stay out of politics. Scratch is about coding, and that should be the Scratch Team’s biggest concern to maintain.
This is my signature. I am allowed to adertize here.

I doubt it. There wouldn't be any more stress on the server, and this would probably be fairly easy to implement. Would be expensive for Scratch Team.
Good point. For normal variables, numbers higher than 10^309 become infinity. Plus, can scratch even handle 10^2560 or will it just turn into “Infinity”?You can get around it using join blocks though since that makes it a string. For example:
(join ([10^ v] of (308)) ([10^ v] of (308)))So it appears that Scratch can handle strings that long, but not numbers. So this suggestion would (from my understanding) still work despite that problem.

No support. I know scratch's limits are just plain bad. If a character takes 2 bytes, a 100 TB server could do 195,312,500,000 CLOUD VARIABLES at 256 characters each. MIT has more than enough resources to give us any amount of characters.
