Comments aren't that important compared to projects, why should they need to be trashed.
And this is technically rejected
And this is technically rejected
6.1 Delete your comments everywhere
The inability to delete your comments everywhere is put in place so users do not post inappropriate comments or spam comments on other users' profiles, projects, or studios, just to delete them later on. In contrast, you are not really likely to spam your own projects or profile. The only benefits to this are to remove comments that you did not mean to post and to fix spelling errors. The former could be solved by thinking carefully before posting any comments, and the latter could be worked around by typing slowly and/or stating your mistakes in a reply to the comment. This also applies to forum posts; that is, a feature for Scratchers to delete their own forum posts will not be implemented.

They mean if they accedently deleted someone ELSE's comment on their project/profile or whatever, they can put it back.

How do you “accidentally” delete a comment? There's a prompt for it, asking you if “you are sure”, so I think it's unlikely that this would be needed. Plus, if we implemented this feature, the scratch team would have to change the way they moderate the site, and that could cause problems if that went wrong.

Another thing I didn't realize, is that this could also mean private messaging, because two users could make hard to see projects, where they would delete each other's comments immediately, but they could read each other's comments in the trash, so that's another problem with this.

Although that is possible, there will be minor (or not) timeframes where users could see the discussion. Another thing I didn't realize, is that this could also mean private messaging, because two users could make hard to see projects, where they would delete each other's comments immediately, but they could read each other's comments in the trash, so that's another problem with this.

I don't see how that would be useful for this website in general, so no support. if you delete a comment on studios, projects it will go in the trash
if you accidentally deleted a important comment it will show in trash it will have a put back button
if dupe report

No support for the following reasons:
- After some time, the trash will be cluttered with comments you meant to delete.
- If you delete a comment accidentally, it is your fault that you didn't read the prompt.
- Comments are not as important compared to projects – you can rewrite a few sentences, but not re-code/design an entire project from the ground up.

I don't really think that they are blaming people, I mean, it is their fault if they don't read the prompts, which is something you should get in the habit of doing.Hey! Don't blame people like that!

Do you think you've been banned unfairly? Then you'd be wrong. The ST aren't children, so quit acting like they are.
