Also, if the scratch team is going to block something “grammatically correct”, but not block the “non-grammatically correct” version, that would be weird.
It is grammatically correct where I am, but different languages/cultures have different grammar, and I agree that shouldn't be reportable.

“@chicken is a stealer! report him!1!1!1” is not really reportable,
Uh, yeah it is banana. It's gossiping, which isn't allowed.

People still use he/him when they don't know someone's gender. For a long time, that was the accepted way to do it. Different cultures and places have different ways of using language, and I really doubt that everyone who uses he/him pronouns when talking about someone they don't know is trying to say that all boys are bad or even that more boys are bad than girls.

I agree; it's in general a better idea to use they/them pronouns when one doesn't know someone. But do we really need to attack people who slip up occasionally or for whom that is the correct syntax they grew up learning.

i would like to sincerely apologize for the above post.

i am stupid, weird, worthless, and in general a bad person but at least i am decent at platformers.

I agree. I am female, but I do care about assuming 1 gender is all this thing. Also, to stop this He/him/they/them stuff, THIS IS A KIDS SITE! You don't need to be grammatically correct! Also, people (rarely) assume women are on scratch and do coding, which is also unfair

I mean if a person accidentally says the word “he” or “him”, have they committed a crime?! No, so I'd say that it shouldn't be reportable unless you clearly tell the person your preferred pronouns and then if they still continue to call you by the wrong pronouns, it should be reportable.

I don't agree, he is a human and humans make mistakes. I've only seen him used the wrong pronoun once, and it is, acceptable as he is a human and humans make mistakes.

wait i thought ceebee was the hated one
So that's not what I meant. I meant:

If you're following the stereotype that male users are bad, then Za-Chary would be bad too, though he ISN'T

Seeing your points, you make a good argument, I think I'll close this. However I will continue telling people that if they don't know the users pronouns not to say he/him are stealers. As it is offensive assuming the user is male, mostly because they are a bad user. Doubt a bad user has or will ever be assumed as female. Anyways closing topic as resolved. I guess this is rejected by me too XD
