Unable to remix or save gbc.sb2 imported from computer

When I try to save the project and load it to a new one I make, it will not save, and when it does say it's been saved, it just deletes everything and returns to an empty Scratch Cat sprite.

The person who made this project made it back in 2015, when scratch 2.0 existed, it had a very high size limit for the code, but now it has been decreased, so it will never save.
