This is the fifth iteration of the Sonic the Hedgehog topic, made after the previous one had so many posts that it was lagging for some Internet connections. Here's a link to the first Sonic topic. The second to fourth topics have unfortunately been dustbinned due to me reporting some of the posts I felt were inappropriate there, so a huge wealth of overrall Sonic discussion is currently inaccessible. Sorry. Below, post anything about Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's most popular video game franchise and one of the most iconic video game series in the world. If you're a Sonic fan, drop in!

What is Sonic the Hedgehog?
Sonic the Hedgehog is a science fantasy video game series and franchise by Sega, based on platform games. Taking place in a world where humans and anthropomorphic animals co-exist, it's about a speedy blue hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog, who, with his superpowered animals friends such as Miles “Tails” Prowers, Knuckles the Echidna, and Amy Roise, regularly defeats evil mad scientist Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotik and other villains. This is accompanied with a speed-based environment filled with rings, robots, springs, ramps, rails, spikes, and more. No matter how tough and hopeless it may get, Sonic always wins!

Remember, only Sonic stuff in this forum can be in this topic. Any other Sonic topics will be considered duplicates. It's the official rule. The only exception is if it really needs to be discussed outside this topic, such as being a flame bait.

There may be some spoilers, especially if we're talking about relatively old works!

Nothing inappropriate or offensive, such as graphic violence and gore, sexually suggestive/explicit material, profanity, display/encouragement of drug use, and hate speech. Although Sonic is a child-friendly franchise, the fandom has plenty of teenagers and adults that will subject Sonic to their more mature tastes and some can even indulge in REALLY REALLY nasty and produce stuff which NO ONE but them wants to see. NFE content, such as minor bloodshed, is okay if there's a warning. You can mention Sonic fanworks with inappropriate content, except for egregiously R-rated works or NSFW ones; just don't go into detail about those contents.

Also, be friendly; no flaming. Never be troll Blaze. If you want to criticize something, you can but please do it in a kind and friendly way so everyone will appreciate it. Being downright negative will upset some users and no one wants that. Please also refrain from discussing topics that are controversial, sensitive, or have caused flaming in the past, such as shipping. Don't forget to report any flame baits that pop up. (SERIOUSLY, the second topic got closed three times due to the blazing flames.)

Please, spam is a NO-NO. You may post a couple of Sonic-related memes and funny content you find on the Internet SPARINGLY as long as you allow us to go with an interesting discussion.

To respect their creators and make sure they get the money they deserve, we DO NOT allow links to online emulators/free downloads of paid games, full TV show episodes, full online scans of paid comic books, full PDFs of books, and anything that encourages piracy. (Links to full songs are allowed if there's no ability to download them.)

Please report any post which you think might be inappropriate or harmful.

If you are not interested in Sonic the Hedgehog, do not want to discuss about it, or disagree with these rules, I'll say one word: leave.

Flame Shield gets put out if underwater.

Just give him Chaos/Super Emeralds.
