Sonic, Altered Beast, Alex Kidd, Jet Grind Radio, Fantasy Zone, and Ecco.

(Don't do too much Sonic, okay? Also, when talking about Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio, please use the former American name. Same goes with the Genesis/Mega Drive, please call it the Genesis.)

No offense but Sonic is the only thing I like about SEGA.

You should add a notice like this:

Don't discuss too much Sonic the Hedgehog here. There's already a topic for that.

My favorite sonic game was the gameboy advance remake of sonic one. It was superior to the original in so many ways.

There's no such thing as necroposting in the TIRAP forum.

In Soviet Russia, video games play you.

It's been over 20 years since Sonic the Hedgehog first burst on the scene in a blur of blue and red. Since that dazzling debut, Sonic has dabbled in all sorts of genres-racing, snowboarding, pinball-but Sonic Mania goes back to where it all started, grabbing rings and racing round loop-the-loops. It has sprite-based graphics, which means it's pixelated like the original Sonic games were, and classic levels like Green Hill Zone return with new twists throughout. Best of all, it has the old crew back together again to stop Robotnik. Along with Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice and a brand new 3-D game [Sonic Forces], there's never a better time to be a Sonic fan.

I have a question: Is SEGA failing? In the Console Wars, they were proud and well-armed, ready to fight back on Nintendo and Sony. Now, they're weak and in danger of shutting down, relying on their former enemies for help.

The Genesis was literally the only system they made to not fail.

The Master System was quite successful too I think. Not only did it sell a decent 6.8 million units in Europe, it's very popular in Brazil where it's still being manufactured: about 8 million have been sold so far with an average of 150k per year. That's practically on par with the PS4 over there. (Wasn't very successful in Japan or North America though.) The Game Gear, despite never catching on as well as the Game Boy did, also had some reasonable sales. Everything past that point pretty much bombed AFAIK.

Their enemies destroyed them, even though they were powerful.
