"Camera" controls that treat the viewing window as a camera view?
This could be really useful because currently, it's really hard to recreate inside of Scratch. I've tried to create the actual Scratchblocks for you:
zoom in () % :: looks
zoom out () % :: looks
camera shake () :: looks

Support! I'm making a FNAF game right now and at some point i had to remove scrolling because it wasn't working properly.

So what if the Scratch player viewing window was treated like a “Camera”?
And you could have blocks on the stage/backdrop panel like:
- ‘zoom in (x%)’
- ‘zoom out (x%)’
- ‘camera shake (time in seconds)’
This could be cool for certain screen related effects in games, or for movie/skit making. Currently to simulate anything like this it involves a lot of workarounds and awkward background sprite/backdrop editing.

Yes because Scrolling is user made, so if the Scratch Team added a camera option it would make it much smoother and less glitchy for Newer Players and People not used to Scrolling, and to make scrolling smooth you need complex code. Check out Cuisine Tycoon Open-Alpha from @x-C3L-x it has Scrolling in it. I FREAKIN LOVE THIS IDEA. Scrolling in scratch is extremely hard, especially with enemies and other things. I TOTALLY support this and really want this to be added.

anyways support, this would be super useful to have, especially with scrolling engines.
Also, that's not even close to the suggestion, that can't even be considered a workaround No support

I think its not a dumb idea, but how are they able to do that? it is not a 3d software and 2d games is a lot harder to do but they can make the border a camera view and the background the real size/map.

I can see how this would be great, like screen shaking effects and camera effects. These would make many projects based on the camera easier to make.
