This Is here to suggest ways to STOP UNJUSTIFIED BANS, It's unfair and unjust
Have you ever gotten banned for no reason? Or know someone who has?
This is a studio meant for people to share how they feel, and invite followers.
this is NOT
to be offensive or badmouth Scratch, and anyone who does so will be reported
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Please keep In mind That your suggestion Is only a suggestion be sure to look in ST's view, There's a reason they haven't fixed problem yet mainly to do with budgets and coding, please remember not to badmouth the ST they're trying they're best

Most bans are justifiable, the user just doesn't understand why what they did breaks the rules.
The ST does their best to ban the correct people for the right reasons, but sometimes, they make a mistake. They are human, and therefore, are not perfect.

It is difficult to disappoint the many people that are calling for the unblocking of any particular Scratcher. Some situations are so serious that we need to know that they are being addressed in real life before we remove the block. In cases like that, we need to hear from a parent, guardian, counselor, or some other responsible adult.
Such actions may not seem “fair” to the outside observer - but those folks need to realize that they may not know all the facts. Any information that is given out on the internet is suspect and difficult to verify. Petition projects, comments, studios and so on really have no bearing on the case and are not going to sway our decision. If people making those petitions cross the line of revealing personal information or making disrespectful remarks, they may themselves be subject to a warning or an account block.

As much i agree there are MANY holes with this
what if they don't know why they were block/banned/muted?
what if they can't email the ST?
what if they were joking? They deserve context.
what if someone stole their art and their just trying to get it back?
what if it was a mass reporting?
Scratch's system works in a way that if something gets reported enough times then bots or the ST will take it down
Please understand that there are many holes in the system, We aren't trying to badmouth ST, just suggestions

Thank you for making this! I thing a big problem is that people are standing up for themselves when their art is stolen. The thief might report the comment just because they don't want to get caught. Also, the comment may come across as rude or pushy, but that is only because we are making it sound serious! (because it is) This Is here to suggest ways to STOP UNJUSTIFIED BANS, It's unfair and unjust

This problem needs to stop.
I notice this happens to older people on scratch (teens, tweens, etc) but that is 100% unfair.
The Scratch community guidelines say that they welcome ALL ages and we need to treat everyone equally, but then why are the older kids getting the bans??

Actually, I think they have an automatic system for reporting. If someone's comment or project is reported enough (even if it has noting inappropriate in it) it will be taken down by a robot, or the system. This is bad, because there are still trolls and rude people out there who report random things for fun. Most bans are justifiable, the user just doesn't understand why what they did breaks the rules.

Also, I believe that you can't get banned like this. The content only gets taken down, and after the Scratch Team views it, they either put it back or not, and then the user might get banned if it really is something bad.

Adding onto that, everyone has a different idea of what is “Appropriate”. What seems totally fine to you could be an issue for someone else. what if they can't email the ST? Why couldn't they? You need an email to sign up, otherwise you wouldn't be able to get banned because you can't do the things that get you banned.
what if they were joking? They deserve context. I'm sorry, what? What are they joking about?
what if someone stole their art and their just trying to get it back? They need to be respectful while doing that. If they weren't, it's on them.
what if it was a mass reporting? Mass reportings don't get you banned unless there was actually something wrong with it.

They can always ask. what if they don't know why they were block/banned/muted?
what if they can't email the ST?Can you please name some of such scenarios?
what if someone stole their art and their just trying to get it back?Be respectful and you'll be fine.
Also, please keep in mind that Scratch's license allows anyone to use anything you share on Scratch without your consent/permission, as long as they give credit.
what if it was a mass reporting? The Scratch Team checks as many reports as they can. I explained it more in my post above.

Yes, but you can still get muted and or banned for a few days. Imagine if you got spam reported for no reason, then got muted for a week? Scratch helps me chill, make art, and chat with my friends. Having none of that would stress me out, and make me very angry and the person who reported. This system needs to stop, as a lot of my friends on here are leaving as the community is- and i'm quoting here: “toxic”. Is a toxic community really what we want on a kids coding website??Paddle2See wrote:

(oh, if this sounds rude, im sorry im not trying to make it sound this wayJust wait until you're unmuted, and then don't express your anger about it. (You can complain, but you must do it Yes, but you can still get muted and or banned for a few days. Is a toxic community really what we want on a kids coding website??constructively.)
The message above may contain wrong information, rude remarks, or something embarrassing to my current self. In this case, please ignore it and remember that I likely wrote it back when I didn't know what “respect” truly meant. I really hate thinking about it again.
