Alternative 3D solution

Instead of builtin 3D (like in https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/982/?page=6#post-272115 ), there should be extension for 3D graphics.

Scratch is supposed to be for users 8-16, and some newcomers might be overwhelmed when looking at the 3D extension. If you want to make 3D graphics without a lot of lag, look into list-based 3D engines or try to use a different, more professional language.

I am nothing if not consistently inconsistent.
Snap! is a website that offers block coding like Scratch, but also offers the creation of your own blocks and writing JavaScript functions. The adventurous should consider checking it out!

Lol. If you want to make a 3D game you should instead migrate to a more powerful engine, such as Unity, Unreal, or GameMaker Studio, and learn whatever programming language they use. If I were eight years old I would've quit Scratch the moment the 3D environment was presented to me.

Making a 3D game is extremely difficult, and when you try to make an engine when there are other very good ones available, it simply doesn't seem worth it.

Long story short, negative support.

Infrequently active.

It feels weird to see how far we've come. I hope you're well, wherever you are!

That is correct. We're not interested in adding a 3D mode at this time, even if it is an extension.

1.6 3D Scratch
Scratch is a language that is designed to be as easy as possible for beginners to learn. Adding 3D features would make the language more difficult for beginners to understand, and a 3D engine is not exactly the purpose of Scratch. There is a similar program to Scratch that contains block programming with 3D features, called Starlogo TNG. You can also try Alice; it is not exactly like Scratch, but has some similar features.
