Oh awesome! Do you want me to use a thumbs up? Or something else?

I would suggest a “+1” – To me that connotes agreeing with the content of the message rather than liking, let alone loving, the person behind it. (And it won't remind anyone of the New Evil Empire.) Oh awesome! Do you want me to use a thumbs up? Or something else?

I'm fine with that, though I personally feel like avoiding (thumbs up emoji) grants that evil empire too much power. IMO, we should use it (and often) and ensure there's not any strong association.
(Really?! Really?! This forum just eats all content after an emoji….What is this..2003?)
Ok! Replaced the icon with the closest one I could find.

I still see hearts… Ok! Replaced the icon with the closest one I could find.
Edit: NVM. You forgot to add the new icon to the dark theme. I fixed it.

Ah, but you're not using the winning dark theme. Michael hadn't loaded the icon into that one. (You posted while I was posting to explain that!) Looks good to me!

Ah, interesting…I didn't realize it was a different theme I also needed to edit. Will make note of that!

Yeah, that's why I didn't install that plugin myself; I was worried that people would import zillions of themes and we'd have to edit all of them. Other people just edited the CSS, but this is the official approved won't-go-stale way. Ah, interesting…I didn't realize it was a different theme I also needed to edit. Will make note of that!

That's what happens when you get tons and tons of people to try out a beta (by sticking it on the homepage!) and asking them all to post bugs and suggestions in one place… The put-your-3.0-beta-bugs-here thread has 374 pages.
For a slightly more concrete idea of the number of bugs and feature suggestions there are, there's about 1500 issues opened across the various Scratch 3.0 repositories - double Snap!'s 750. And obviously people are making issues on the Scratch repositories waaaay more frequently than there probably has ever been on Snap!'s repo.
(150 issues are actual features and feature requests, BTW. The rest are mostly bugs or really minor things. But still! Lots of them!)

I'm dumb, which topic is that? I see Scratch 3 bug reports in their own topics (in Bugs and Glitches) and the closed sticky topic in the Scratch 3 beta forum category has way less than 374 pages. The put-your-3.0-beta-bugs-here thread has 374 pages.

I didn't mean it as a critique, more “wow having a gazillion users has good aspects and bad aspects.” If we had that many bug reports we'd never get out from under. (To be fair, some of them aren't actionable bug reports, more like “I hate Scratch 3.0.” But some of them are real.)

!'s 750. But we do better in bugs per paid staff person. Really it's hard to make a meaningful comparison. They just went through a prolonged beta before a major release. We are making new official releases, what, weekly? On average? A totally different modus operandi.

Hey, gang, in what is currently the dev version, I got Jens to add the loop arrow from Scratch to the REPEAT, REPEAT UNTIL, and FOREVER blocks. I always thought that was one of the great ideas in Scratch, and we should have had it all along.
So, yesterday Jens was at a big event using Snap! at a German art museum and he reports that teenagers at the event, who had been using Snap! for some time, complained to him about the arrows. It seems they were proud of having progressed from Scratch to Snap!, and adding the arrows felt infantilizing to them.
So, my question is, do those of you who've been using the dev version feel the same way?

In all the years I've used Scratch - I've never noticed those arrows!!! I had to go looking to see what you were talking about!
I've never had a problem, in teaching with Scratch, in the students understanding that the REPEAT UNTIL and FOREVER blocks are loops - looping is something that students seem to quickly understand.
But then again, maybe it was those little white arrows that were doing this for me
Obviously, adding them into Snap, does no harm, but I don't think it's needed at all.
