SERVER TRANSFER GOING ON RIGHT NOW so wikis are read-only. You can still read pages but can't edit. Judging by current speeds, this will finish in around 1/4-1/2 of a day from now, sorry to say. (If I discover a different time estimate, I will post it here.)

Only catch right now is that the editable versions are on these domains:

German - https://dach.scratch-wiki.com
English - https://en.scratch-wiki.com
Test - https://test.scratch-wiki.com
Russian - https://ru.scratch-wiki.com
Dutch - https://nl.scratch-wiki.com
Japanese - https://ja.scratch-wiki.com
Indonesian - https://id.scratch-wiki.com
Hungarian - https://hu.scratch-wiki.com
French - https://fr.scratch-wiki.com

The versions on the .info domains are still the old, frozen versions. You can already start editing on the .com versions again, though.
I will post again when the domains have been fixed (which should happen when Germany wakes up).

Your grammar is mostly spot-on there

The .com domains were temporary places for the transferred files to reside. All of the wikis are back on the .info domains again.

Hm, good question… I'm inclined to say no, but I'll ask around.

As to how it would wreak havoc, when creating accounts, your username can't start or end with a space, right? Well, in MediaWiki, an underscore is equivalent to a space, so “_Portavia_” would become “ Portavia ” which is an invalid username. If - heavens forbid! - that username were to somehow get past the account creation filters, every edit that you made would break things
