How does one fill a shape in vector?

I can only fill squares/rectangles and elipses/circles. I don't want to convert to bitmap anytime I need to fill. Any way to fill vector shapes?

If you want to fill in a shape with vector, it needs to be a closed shape or else it won't fill. I suggest you don't make the lines skinny and make thicker lines in order to draw the shape you want. If the shape is closed, it should fill, but if it doesn't, try redrawing or try connecting the lines. You can also reshape if needed. Then from there, if it successfully fills, from there you can use the thickness effect to make it skinner or thicker.
Hope this helps!

If you just can't seem to get it to join at all, another technique I recommend is reshaping a circle/square (coloured in the shade you want) so it fits the outline and then sending it backwards until it's behind the lines.
