Have you ever considered volunteering? I have! I have had previous experiences in girl scouts volunteering at an elderly home and at a food bank!
There are many ways you can volunteer. But I am writing about the do it your own at your own time methods.
Here are two ways you can do things to help.
1. Making blessing bags for homeless. I am working on this one. As I have seen on Pinterest, they are ziplock bags (big or small, preferably big) that have items like travel sized toothbrushes and toothpaste, a snack, sometimes socks (very important, are the most important but least donated items in homeless shelters), deodorant, chapstick, sanitary items for women, bandaids, and sometimes even a small first aid kit, and sometimes even money or a gift card to go buy a meal or make a phone call. Some, depending on where you live, you can add mittens and beanies for the cold winter. It can get a little costly, but buy in bulk, much cheaper and you get more. At least that`s what I`ve heard. So make some, and whenever you are walking in the city or driving to the store and see a homeless person, stop and give them one! It`s one kind way to help the homeless without going to a shelter, and its super kind!
2. Write letters to troops overseas (I think this only goes for America). There are many organizations that work with the military and you can write letters and cards to them, and they mail it to them. My goal this year is to write 100 letters and cards, I have already written 10. Make sure to thank them for their service, be kind, send positive messages. Most of the organizations ask you to put your address, but don`t get hyped, they sometimes get little bits of time to write to family, but if they write back then good, if not hey it`s okay!
Well, that`s my top two ways to volunteer the do it your own method way!

My blessing bags are going to have toothbrushes, toothpaste, chapstick and wet wipes. I`m going to call them helping hygine bags.
