Hi, I'm Owl31. Today, I'm here announcing my campaign for President of the SPA. I have a lot of new programs that will be in force if I am elected President. First of all, I am proposing a new program, The Member Replacement Program. If a SPA member shop is closed down, members of that SPA shop can be put into another SPA member shop or join a NSNP shop. Since NSNP is a SPA program, we should be able to work more effectively with these smaller NSNP shops, or at least stimulate some growth.

To make the SPA more efficient, there should be incentives for inter-shop trade deals. If a shop cannot do an order by itself, maybe another shop can step in and complete the order, if a trade deal is completed. My incentives for trade deals can include extra representatives for your Shop, maybe a highlight of your Shop on the SPA front page or something like that. This is what the SPA is all about, forging connections with other Shops to work with them and make the entire program faster and more efficient for all Shops.

Every single Shop has at least one annoying customer who always pressures employees to get things done. With my new proposal, these customers can be easily managed and taken care of. The Human Resources Program is going to make everyone’s lives easier all the way up the corporate ladder, from new employee to owner. Here’s how it works.

The owner of the Shop manages all of the Heads of Departments – including Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources and the Director of Forward Planning (or Growth, depending on Shop owners’ ideas) take care of the normal Shop members, and make sure that they are not being pressured to complete orders by Shop Management. If shop employees are being pressured to complete orders by a specific customer and the order is already in the works, the Human Resources department will talk to the customer and explain the status of the order. Customers who are subsequently offending the Shop in question can be banned from the Shop, reported to the Scratch Team, and orders from this user will not be taken and completed.

What about large Shops, or “department stores?” When I am President, I will take any and all action that is LAWFULLY POSSIBLE to bring back the artisans that have small Shops and let them grow. No monopoly on the Requests forum is worth the risk of losing the creativity of so many.


I will not have a Vice President or Secretary until after the elections – I prefer to consolidate power in one hand during a voting period.

I am RPP-Exploration.

When I found the forums, requests was the one I looked in 1st. I thought you had to pay money so I stayed off it for a while. When I came back, I read the stickies and discovered what it actually was. I joined a shop which accepted me for reviewing but not art which then went inactive - I never actually completed an order. I then joined my sister's shop which also failed and started my own. Rainbow Reviews was a shop which I ran satisfactorily for a while. I got some bad comments which was upsetting but I carried on. That shop is now closed and Marbow Market is open.

I am not telling you this because I am missing the point of this post - it's because I am proving that I know what shops are like and I know that people in the SPA don't have to discover on their own. The SPA is for partnerships and partnerships help each other out. A big goal of mine if I was president would be to get help available for all members so that they have someone there for them when they have tough times. I am willing to spend lots of time on this.

I also rejoice now over the size and popularity of SPA! We are famous! This comes with advantages of course, but with that there are troubles also. The partnerships page is huge and usually skipped over by shoppers. As has been discussed previously, we need a better system for this. I suggest small, square icons or just words in colour. SPA in many ways has layout suitable only for a small organisation, which makes it misleading. I believe it needs changing so it can be altered more easily, with less admin work for hellounicorns2.

I joined SPA because of many things. One is the amazing members. They are all equally amazing and I recognise the talents of every single one. Equality is something that you cannot write in a set of laws - it should be culture and we neeed to work at making that in SPA. Same should be said for the wide variety of shops here: everything can improve but everything is the best in it’s on way. Shops aren’t an easy matter, as many of us know all too well so we can give ourselves a pat on the back for using and helping them.

Also, I was asked whether I would change any laws and I thought about this for a long time. I decided that it was important to spend lots of time on this and I have concluded that this was a matter that needed much more consideration. I did decide that, for a law to be implemented, it would need the consent of the president/owner and five members or the consent of 15 members. I did not choose this rule to state that all members had to agree because then it would be a useless idea due to the fact that not everyone will agree and that laws are made for discipline. I absolutely believe that anyone should be able to propose laws sensibly with a good reason because people have unique ideas that others may not think of. If users abuse this though, they can have the privilege removed from them.

As proof of my activity and speed, his is written 2 days after I agreed to stand and has been written before school in a short space of time. This was pretty easy to write as I know exactly what I want for SPA.

Please know that one vote could change the future so use it in the right way - use it for me and join me
making SPA's future amazing

Out of SPA, I have recently started a RP and have asked many people to join. Their applications are often their 1st posts. It will be very clear to all members that if they were not active they would be removed. This activity policy would ensure that all activity that came up in SPA would have quick response.

3.) How would you expand the SPA beyond the requests forum? As I said earlier, I would have SPA available for studio, user and project shops.

4.) What is the most expanded vision which you could give regarding the SPA and its role in the scratch community? I would make a criteria and members would offer SPA to any shops fitting the criteria. This is already done but I believe that it could be a job for non-shop members as well as hellounicorns2. This would broaden our range of clients and would spread the word around, gradually letting SPA “dominate” Scratch…

Hi. I am Vimaye01 and i am exited to run for president in the SPA 2018 June Election so i can help the SPA become a better place. If your asking how i am going to do that, then my answer is i will improve the laws in the SPA and update the SPA Partnership more often. I would also update people with the latest SPA News. I also own a shop called Fredbear's Pizzeria and i am here on scratch until 1:00-3:00am Mountain Time Zone so i am pretty active. I think the only specific people have the rigth to vote for laws but i what to change that rule so anyone can vote on which laws and give people more freedom. Some skills i have is

Information about the voting system
The voting system for elections has been changed. All shop owners should follow these steps:

1) Conduct a democratic internal vote. - it wrecks the system and is unfair if you only present some of the candidates, use bribery in any form, or give some workers more votes than others. Workers may of course choose not to vote, but that is at their discretion. You may also wish to combine this with an activity check.

2) Submit your results - list the usernames of the candidates in the order of preference. Do not alter the votes beforehand.
Eg.

Shop name: The Nonsense Shop
1) fdrgvdyh
2) gffghbbhh
…
12)hhhhh
13)bbgdrt

We will then calculate the final vote of each shop - for more info look here- and count votes once for every representative that you would have had under the old system.
