I did see that! I thought it was pretty awesome. They were charging more for burgers, depending on how long you were willing to wait - just like an unregulated internet.
See, I don't agree here. BK's example is something that you'd see from streamers and people downloading files - and yes, that's true to some degree - however, some things (such as loading basic web pages) can be throttled down slightly. Similarly, malicious traffic can be utterly blocked now, which is good.

Yeah, didn't see that one coming. I try not to get bent out of shape about NN, after all, this generation is really entitled. Once service providers start being ‘mean’, they'll just whine and whine and whine, and the company would save more money not being jerks than dealing with whiny brats.

Breaking: the Senate is about to vote on a resolution to save net neutrality and stop ISPs from ruining the Internet. Starting May 9th, put your website, app, or social profile on “Red Alert” to help sound the alarm. Fill out the form to contact your lawmakers and get everything you need to join the protest!

What's happening?

The US Senate is headed for a mid-May vote on a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to block the FCC’s repeal of net neutrality. Starting on May 9th, and carrying through until the vote, the Internet will “go red” to raise awareness and ensure that lawmakers hear from their constituents, who overwhelmingly support restoring open Internet protections. Click to jump to instructions for how to join with your website or on social media.

Post banner ads on your site

Do you run a site or blog? Use these banner ads to get the word out on net neutrality. Click here to see a bunch of different ad sizes and styles.

Feeling creative? Make something yourself and submit it for other sites to use by emailing us at team@fightforthefuture.org.

Put your social media accounts on Red Alert

If you’re active on social media, have a video channel, or moderate an online forum, put your small piece of the Internet on RED ALERT by changing your profile image, and scheduling frequent posts linking to BattleForTheNet.com where people can take action. Click here for a giant folder of content you can use. Then click here to see ideas for blog posts, emails, tweets and more.

Without net neutrality, centralized networks will have an advantage.

not really, if they abuse consumers, they just get the cities to seize the networks. It's not like the cable companies put their cable on their property. It's on yours and the city's, making it fair game for imminent domain.

It unlocks the internet to a capitalist scene where the internet can evolve and grow much faster.

It'd be the same thing if the net DIDN'T end.

In fact, it's debatable that now without NN the internet will be freer and better.
