Offline Scratch editor on Chrome Web Store?
Isn't scratch 3.0 going to be in HTML5?I, myself, own a chromebook (Well, my dad does).
Chromebooks cannot download software, it's browser only. So “Offline” editor in the chromebook would just be an app that links to the Online editor. This wouldn't work, but not for the reason you think. Chromebooks actually do have offline apps, which work pretty well. But Scratch wouldn't be able to be made into an offline Chrome app because they don't allow Flash. Google only wants HTML5 or NaCl. You really can't do much offline on a Chromebook, as it's essentially a glorified web browser. Sadly, I don't think this suggestion will work.

This will be possible with Scratch 3. There is also a program that compiles Flash to HTML5, but the final output needs changed a bit as the compiler isn't perfect. No support, this is not possible.

You can look to see if all of this is possible on the Chromebook forums.I, myself, own a chromebook (Well, my dad does).

Offline Scratch editor on Chrome Web Store?
Please don't necropost.Short answer: Yes
This is possible, it just needs to be done. The biggest problem is getting verified and posting it to the Chrome Web Store, not creating the app itself. The app would basically be all the assets that they have on their GitHub repository for the Scratch 3.0 GUI. When they package that up and create the .json files for all of the information, they just need to get it on the Chrome Web Store. They said it was coming later in 2019, but I have not heard from anyone that they have made any progress.

Necroposting doesn't really affect the Suggestions forum anymore as long as the post is relevant. Please don't necropost.

Don't you have to connect to the Internet to sign in? I think the only way you would be able to use an offline editor on a Chromebook is to be already signed in when you disconnect from the Internet. Tell me if I'm wrong.

The post was just sorta repeating things already said and known, plus this topic isn't really needed anymore.Necroposting doesn't really affect the Suggestions forum anymore as long as the post is relevant. Please don't necropost.
