What is partnering and what are the pros and cons of it??

I run a shop and have been asked to partner.
What is partnering, how do you use it and would YOU recommend it (why?)?

I would be grateful for any answers because I have checked the wiki, this forum and more and have found no answer.

Not exactly; it's just shops supporting each other, by advertising and helping out the other.

Partnering shops is when 2 shops both promote each other. There isn't a very exact definition, so you can ask the owner of the shop that is trying to partner with you to arrange what you will do to help each other. Some partnered shops just put banners for each other's shops on their shop, while others help complete old orders for each other. Just ask the other shop what you are both planning to do as partnered shops :)

Different partners do different things. If somebody asks for a partership I recommend researching them and their shop so that you know they are the kind of shop you want to partner with. While you do both get advertising and much more, if the shop is smaller than you they may be gaining more than you do. In my opinion you should tread with caution.
