Hello everyone! ● Art Camp 2017 ● is in progress! This forum is a chat for the leaders and co-leaders of all of the cabins, which consist of:
Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple, Coconut, Banana, Watermelon and Cherry.

19th June ❧ For the leaders: Double-check that all of your campers are willing to participate; remind them when camp starts. Make sure you have your welcome projects shared.
20th June ❧ Camp begins! Assign your campers an art exercise. They can create anything, at all so long as it's the right art style (i.e. blockshade etc). The point of this activity is determining each of your campers' art abilities and capabilities within the style. This activity needs to be completed by the 25th Once completed, note down what they each camper needs to improve on. (i.e. light sourcing, shading, neater edges)
22th June ❧ Your campers will be assigned a new activity. In a comment, post what each camper needs to work on (from what you've noted down). Take one aspect from you “What We'll Be Learning” and tell them that their art this time needs to focus on that area, as well as focusing on improving.
25th June ❧ Three fun exercises in main camp. Pick an adjective (descriptive word), which could be any word from “textured” to “airy” to “angry”. All campers then have to create impressionistic art of those words (in the art style they're learning). Exercise No. 1: -Splattered- | Exercise No. 2: LyricalGalaxy | Exercise No. 3: MintyBunBun
27th June ❧ Back to work! Assign you campers a new activity, this time taking a new aspect from your “What We'll Be Learning”. They should all be creating the same art, i.e. river, bird, city. Note down what they've improved on, and again, what they still need to improve on.
30th June ❧ Two fun exercises main camp. All campers will be required to draw anything they want (again, so long as it's in the correct art style) in five minutes. Exercise No. 1: Lucy_Lu | Exercise No. 2: ChocolateFactory
2nd July ❧ A new activity. Finish off the “What We'll Be Learnings” and see just how much your campers have improved! The co-leaders will then reward your campers will “Most Improved”, “Excellence in Participation” and "Overall Excellence in _____ (your cabin's name).
5th July ❧ Signups for art competition open in main cabin!
7th July ❧ Last couple of activities. All campers need to create art of a thing that scares them, i.e. spiders or the dark, in abstract form. Exercise No. 1: rainbow_waves Exercise No. 2: ForeverArtist
10th July ❧ Signups for art competition close!
12th July ❧ Competition begins! Campers will be required to draw in an art style that they desire, preferably the one they are learning but it is up to them. One idea for the theme of the art competition will be put forward by each co-leader, and will be finally decided by Ivy.
15th July ❧ Entries close. Over the next few days, judging will commence to decide third, second and first place.
17th July ❧ Results out!
17th July ❧ Camp ends. Now campers, co-leaders and leaders can share what they've learned over camp, and if it helped them to improve their art skills.
