⚡ Harry Potter Camp ⚡
Camp Dates: July 15 - 29
Role Descriptions:
Head of House:
Your job is to keep everything in order in your house! Your work is what is going to really keep this camp going. Essentially, you will run one of the houses, answering camper’s questions, offering advice if you want, but mainly these three things: maintaining the house studio, keeping track of house points, and updating campers.
Maintaining the house means you are keeping a watchful eye on the whole thing, making sure that everything going on in the studio is OK with the Scratch guidelines, etc etc, camper’s questions are being answered, camper’s camp-related projects are being added to the studio and so on.
Keeping track of house points means that you will keep the house’s point score in the studio and update it at least every few days. The main way a camper will earn points is by entering competitions, but during camp they can also earn points by answering trivia and they get a point just for entering any competition or activity. These are the points I need you to keep updated for me so that by the end of the week I can tally each house's points and declare a winner!
Keeping campers updated means: not letting your studio fall into inactivity and occasionally leave an update in the studio, suggesting things they might want to enter or reminding them that they need to get their entries in soon. Also, to encourage activity, try starting a role-play with the campers! It will help you all get to know each other and give them something to do if they just feel like hanging out and/or have entered all the competitions they want to and are just waiting around for the results.
Competition Maker:
This is also a really, really important role. This means that you will host competitions for the camp, by which I mean designing a simple project with the instructions and rules then letting the campers remix away. However, you must check with me before making a competition, as there are a few regulations regarding this:
There will be a list of competition or activity ideas, and if it says open next to it, it means we need that competition hosted. It would be great if you could take that on!
If a slot does not have an idea with it (But it will have a theme it needs to be, such as coding or writing or art), feel free to suggest one! You can then host that competition if you wish.
When designing the competition project, remember that all of these competitions must be applicable to all of the houses and books, meaning that you can’t have a competition for only people in certain houses or for only certain books.
The instructions and rules must be unbiased to all styles. (No saying “Vector will make you more likely to win.” We want all camper’s abilities to be of equal value in this camp.)
Share the competition on Saturday. If you will be unable to share it on the Saturday, share it on Friday or however many days in advance you need, and I’ll just wait to add it to the studio until Saturday. Also, be sure when the competition ends and add that to the instructions. Most competitions end in one week, but collaboration competitions will last two weeks.
We can make this camp awesome! Let's do it!

This sounds like a great idea! I'd love to be head of the Ravenclaw studio! And maybe for an idea you could design your own Harry Potter character?

Cool, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Um . . . I guess I'll make the actual project? Right, I'll judge the the Week 1 2nd competition. And for an idea, maybe you could write a script for a new part of the story? If so, let that be week 2 and the third one.

OK . . . it's OK. Sorry, but I haven't got the time to do this. Good luck with the camp and everything, and if you ever make another one, feel free to ask me to join!
Wait, I thought you were completely in-active?
