It delivers a great message, which is that all things, even rocks, can emerge from the shell of nervousness and grief. It gives all kids the message that everyone grows up. Everyone dies. Everything, it changes. All of us can emerge from that shell of insecurity. All of us can change. It makes you want to believe that you can do it. You can escape from that cage, that bubble, that ice-cream truck. This delivers this message so beautifully while telling a heartwarming story of grief, hope, and most importantly, it helps the world become a society full of kindness, but still some loss to balance one's emotions. This isn't a story about a rock living it's life. It's a story about emerging from your shell. We all can escape from that shell. Still, shells give you a part of you, which is shown greatly by the leaves stuck on the rock.
