You do know there's multiple cds about what really happened with the crusades. (in a nutshell the crusades happened when Muslims started taking over Christian places and they asked for help so the crusades happened to get our christian countries back)

Can I address the Q/A question about free will? I agree that your answer is correct but I think I can explain it a little better. God wants us to love him, but it doesn't really count if he makes us. If you have a computer program designed to compliment you does it feel the same as a human saying it?

I think that God allowed evil into the world to show his glory. He wanted people to trust in him and rely on him if everyone was perfect no one would need to repent and believe in him. It is like if I was perfect (or you were) and I (or you) created a perfect creature it might thank you for creating it but it would not glorify you like you were it's god. (because after all it is just as good as you.) God wanted us to glorify him. He was not trying to teach us to be perfect he knew all along adam and eve were going to sin and his son was going to rescue us and that made it so we are not as good as him and we do try to glorify his name.
