"Scratcher"

Hey guys, we have been looking around and can't seem to find anything talking about this.

We are ScratchBrawl, and we're three Sophomores that have been working on a project that'll for certain win the competition. We're not even finished and already have a spot out of the 10 that a school may sponsor reserved for us. To not release too much information as this project is still in major beta, and still working on it, we currently have over 300 scripts, 45 sprites, and have yet to finish, add sound, extra costumes when hurt, and so on and so forth.

We currently have a game mode for “single player” that allows the user to play different modes and we would like to have the capability to upload to the cloud so that the scores save. That way, we insure that we keep gamers, scratchers, and even the judges passionate about our game. Since we are a “New Scratcher” we are not allowed to have Cloud variables. Is there anyway to get the “scratcher” title? We don't have time to be on forums much, we already spend so much on the game itself, plus this past two weeks we've been helping out set up Hour of Code at our shcool (which was awesome! Thanks to the Scratch community for the tutorials, all of our guests were addicted to light bot, once they finished, they entered the scratch world and couldn't give up. We saw people working on some really cool things, and in all honesty it feels great to help out and see the , for lack of a better word, giddy, people get when they make a computer do what they want, past the standard user-interface)

We did try to create an AI.. that didn't go well. We noticed it is possible, but we are trying to move things along. We know it's just December, but we want to have the game finished to a point that is acceptable to upload. Although, we have seen previous games and animations.. We believe we can win, but we will not give up until we have something worthy of bragging, if that makes sense to you guys. Once the game is finished, we plan on adding the “icing” of the cake to make it a certain winner.

We know we'll win. We won't give up until our game hits the “Featured Projects”, “What the community is loving”, and until we get our own category! ;D

(Sorry for speaking in first-person, personal plural, but we are a team after all.)

If you've put up with reading all that, well, thank you, but we'd truly appreciate if anyone could give us some answers We hope to release the game toe everyone. We can't wait to see everyone's thoughts, ideas, comments, etc.

Thanks in advanced,

-The ScratchBrawl Team

PS. The account name should give you guys an idea of what our project is :p

Yes we saw that But as stated previously, none of us have time to be on forums, and same goes with the comments. Also, our energy is all focused into our competition project, so unless we broke off each creating around 2 projects and using up valuable time we could invest on the competition game, we can't achieve any of those

Have you thought about recruiting a new member to the team to browse and comment?

PLEASE CONSIDER… Handing out a quick solution on the first pass is a VERY EFFECTIVE way to sabotage a learning opportunity. Telling someone “it's easy” is a good way, too.
