SUPPORT!! This will be extremely helpful for people recognizing the community guidelines. Maybe it should work like the “terms and services” thing that's in most websites, and there's a checkbox saying “I agree to follow to community guidelines.”

This is a great idea because so many people have obviously not read them. It would also be a good idea to link to them on the front page permanently. I know that they are on the bottom of every page, but it would attract more attention if it were, say, off to the side in larger print on the front page. This way, everyone would know what the Community Guidelines are, even though the majority of them are common sense things.

My friends and I noticed that there's not even a link to the Community Guidelines when you sign up for a CS-First account. Those are the accounts that follow the format “cs000000”, and I've noticed a disproportionate amount of spam and rule breaking from those accounts. And they can't really be banned or dealt with because those accounts are for school!

It would also be neat to have some kind of “checklist” of things you need to complete to become a Scratcher. New Scratchers already have to post a bit on the forums, commebt a bit on projects, share a couple projects, and then be manually invited. Would be nice to have those requirements in a concrete list “To become a Scratcher, complete the following tasks:”. And one of those requirements could be “have a looker at the community guidelines” o3o

That would be nice. I'm tired of reminding users to read the CGs. It'd be nice for it to be obvious that the CGs are enforced and meant to be taken seriously.

I think the ST should just put the CGs as a sticky on all frourm topics.

But not everyone reads the stickies I'm pretty sure you don't either. No disrespect intended, I just don't like seeing people contradict themselves., so that may prove as ineffective.

If we don't know the guidelines, it might be the case where a parent helping a child set up an account doesn't know what to expect what might be out there on the website. This is a good idea. Support.

Support. Maybe there can be a link that also leads to the more clarified “Terms of Use” for Scratchers who want a reason why they need to be respectful.
