Don't do all that daft “tell a teacher” nonsense since it just causes concern and doesn't really achieve much at the end of the day.
Just don't ramble about Scratch and they'll drop it eventually… or find yourself some new friends.

That's a terrible suggestion. If I was getting bullied, would I not tell a teacher because that would cause concern?
He never mentioned that it was his friends.
Also, i'd like to see THEM try to program.

Getting teased for going on Scratch
If you don't like Scratch and feel you don't have a reason to use it, you can quit. But those people making fun of you going on Scratch shouldn't be doing that. Even if you just WANT to learn to code, you are really smart. Those kids making fun of you need to learn what we will need to learn what traits we need for future generations, which includes coding. So you shouldn't care what they say. But if you get bored and don't want to use Scratch, it's ok to quit. But be honest with yourself: Do you want to quit actually because they make fun of you for using Scratch? If so, you shouldn't care what those people making fun of you think.
I love animating, and quotes! Here are some quotes coming straight from meh mouth!

No. Don't leave. What do they say? First, what do they think is wrong with it?
OR show them a cool project so they know the potential scratch has. That is has the power to do lots. show them this, it's awesome and shows that you can do a lot on scratch.

How can I delete this? I forgot about the edit feature so I created a new post. Now I'm editing it, but I can't delete it still (I can report it though).

Getting teased for going on Scratch
Might not work, considering my friends know C, Go, C++, C#.“I'd like to see you do better” “I'd like to see you try to program”
“You must be jealous”
“Do I have to listen to your boring insults?”
etc
^^
Stuff like this almost always works, because there isn't really any response without you proving them wrong.
People “teased” (mostly as a joke tho, I poke fun at the fact myself) me too, and your solution could also be to just not use it in school. If they're at your home, you're probably friends enough with them for it not be offensive or for you to respond jokingly.
Talk is cheap. Show them the advance aspects of scratch.

Erm, not quite sure about that. Im just saying [to the OP]that if you show them something, then they have no comeback.
Please dont say “I bet you cant code!” or something similar.
[Edited] for clarification.

Happens often, they just think Instagram and Musically and all that is better when Scratch can do a lot more. Plus Scratch is better, but that's my opinion.

Use the New Reply box to speak to us. Why do people make fun of you? I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but at school everyone's making fun of me(and only me,)for going on scratch, so should I quit scratch? I'm not really having as much fun with it anymore because of this, and it's getting a bit boring. Are there any ways I can still have fun onscratch with everyone making fun of me?
I have no idea why they make fun of me for it, I went on scratch once at school, and I was making a really nice project, and then everyone was just whispering and keep making fun of me. I have used some of your ideas like telling them to stop and showing them how fun scratch is but it just made it worse,
If you don't understand my post, tell me and I'll explain as well as I can! Remember to show your support in a constructive way that adds to the discussion, rather than just saying “Support” or “No Support”. Also remember that Scratch is a place to have fun, make projects, and show your interests with coding, so have FUN and KEEP ON SCRATCHING!

Ask them if they want to make video games when they are older. If they say “Yes”, then say “Too bad, you will never know how to if you don't use Scratch”Use the New Reply box to speak to us. “Do I have to listen to your boring insults?”would probably make the people teasing the OP run out of things to say.

If you can say that from experience, I would believe you. But most bullies are bullies because they like to see their victims react to them and get angry. If you ignore them, they won't have a reason to bully you. And I can say that from experience. No offence, but that never works.Ignore them.Use the New Reply box to speak to us. TO be honest, its really hard to ignore that, especially if you are a person like me who just can't stand it. Keep asking them to stop, or ask your teacher for assistance. If you can say that from experience, I would believe you.
