Unable to "Download to Computer"?
Good afternoon!
I recently finished my first project (small, but still took me 6 hours!), which is saved online. When I select the option to “download to computer”, it brings up the directory on my hard drive and allows me to select a location for the file, and when I click “save”, the file is not being saved to my hard drive. No error message - I would think that it had saved had I not opened the destination folder and found it to be empty. I have saved it online fine, as it is showing under My Projects, but would like to backup that save onto my hard drive.
I have downloaded Scratch 2 to my computer and it is working fine. I am able to save projects that I complete offline with no issues, but cannot seem to get this online project saved onto my computer.
This is my first project, so I am sure that it is a small tweak that I am missing. Is there some setting on my online profile that I need to select, or maybe a security setting to change on my anti-virus software (Bitfender)?
My computer is an Asus ROG running Windows 8.
Thanks for any help out there!
-Mike

Unable to "Download to Computer"?
Sorry if I'm being dense - I took a look and read the “Read Me First”s, and it seems “General Questions” was the right place to be. I didn't want to post to “bugs and glitches”, since I am sure it is user error.
If there is someplace else I should post my question, please let me know, and thanks for your quick reply earlier.
THANK YOU!

Unable to "Download to Computer"?
The issue was resolved by opening the project in Internet Explorer (I was using Chrome). Once opened in IE, the project saved to the computer with no issues.

You should just create a new empty folder. Then select the folder when downloading the project. And VOILA!. (I have never downloaded a project on scratch. But i think that's how it works)

This can be your browser is outdated, or you changed the settings on your browser, so it won't allow files to be saved on your computer. Though, I leave it off on Scratch, I still like to keep in on when I'm exploring outside of Scratch. Safety first!

The latest thread is over 2 years old and this topic have been solved, so this topic is no longer relevant anymore. Please don't necropost as it bump up the topic to the first page and it's cluttering up the sub-forum unnecessarily and it's considered to be breaking the community guidelines. Next time, check the date of latest thread before posting, and if it's over 2 months, don't post anything unless you have something constructive to say.
