I will most likely either write If a Priest Dies in the Woods because of it's more mystery based atmosphere, or It Feasts on Your Fears because it will be more surreal than the other stories.

Wouldn't it kill the main feeling of the story if there is a written version of it? If Borges didn't write it, why should I?
I did notice a bit of a similarity between the “dead” priest from If a Priest Dies in the Woods and Al-Mu'tasim himself, if that's where you're going.
