Everyone says Gif with a hard G sound; yet others pronounce Gif with a soft G, almost like a J. How do YOU pronounce it, and why? Discuss what you think it is and why!

It is actually pronounced Jif. I've even heard that the creators of gifs say… The favorite pick of choosy moms for years!

Well, I personally pronounce it like JIF, though spell it as GIF. The truth is that GIF is always the way you pronounce it, no matter how you spell it.

Soft g. 'Cos I hate peanut butter.
