Anti-spambot suggestion
So, here is my plan for stopping spambots..
1. Add more words to the filter - After further examining these spam accounts, I realized many words made it through the filter. Add more keywords (like hack, cheat, download, phone number, etc.). Though, the filter should not be extremely strict, it should be set off when two or more of those keywords are used in the same sentence. Many skeptical feelings about this, so I will mark it out for now..
2. IP ban them - If the bots are coming from the same PC, it would be very useful to IP ban them, then they will have difficulties granting their bots access to Scratch.
3. CAPTCHA verification for sharing projects - could help prevent spam projects in the future.
Any other suggestions to stop them? I'd love to hear it!
Also, I'd like to know how the Scratch Team currently deals with this issue, are the accounts already IP blocked? Or just deleted?

1. Make the suggested words to the chat filter less strict. What if I replied to someone like this:
2. Support, but it can cause other people using the same IP, even if not banned, to be banned on that device.
You have to use hacked blocks to access the workaround. Since ST recommends avoiding the use of them, support!or
To save your project to your computer, you need to download your project. Hope this helpsSupport if non-hyperlinked links are banned since those are the ones spambots post.

Edit: I have edited the main post with part of your suggestions. Thank you.

if it can I'd appreci8 it.2. By accident it may happen. I have seen a case of this happening on scratch.
I was in a rush because I had to get off sorry if this wasn't detailed enough.

I'm pretty sure it can, because I told paddle about this suggestion and he said that he liked the idea and didn't complain that it was impossible1. But the detector can't detect a sentence1. The interesting is that even though average bots cannot pass the CAPTCHA, some bots are able to pass it.
Like in my forums, even with a CAPTCHA, spambots still can pass it and spam

2. What if a school got IP banned from one kid? That could be a problem.
3. Since I post often on the forums, CAPTCHA's will get annoying. Plus, many bots have easily gotten past CAPTCHA's.

So is that a no support?

Since you changed to suggestion, I'm changing my stance.
2. same as above:
3. ew, capatcha
I wouldn't want to take a verification quiz every time I try to make a post. Semi-support.

2. This is for spambots not spammers that just say random stuff or advertise projects. Spambots create a bunch of accounts every few days and mass share projects containing 1-800 numbers and downloads (most likely viruses and scam phone numbers). So most likely they are run by adults that are trying to scam people out of their money.2. Well, say one kid did something bad or happened to be a spammer. I don't know.2. 3.Why? It would make it harder for them to mass share projects…?

2. True, but it's always possible. What if the adult is running a spam bot but his child is also on Scratch?2. This is for spambots not spammers that just say random stuff or advertise projects. 3. CAPTCHA's are SUPER easy to get past, and it would just be a nuisance to everyone elser.
