But seriously– No it was a total glitch on our part: a combination of an error while preparing for the downtime, plus a dash of bad luck. It added up to way too many Scratchers seeing the block page.

We goofed - rather badly I must say. Luckily, Cheddar was on, figured out something was wrong, and found a way to mitigate the damage fairly quickly.

We are sorry for the confusion this caused. And we have a good understanding of how and why it happened, and how to prevent it in the future.

IP bans don't block access from a specific computer but blocks it from a specific Internet host or router.

This never happened to me!

I didn't have this I was on scratch at 10PM!
