Im looking into designing games for the pc mac and maybe even a few silly games for like smart phones and what not. however, I am having trouble finding something that suits my learning style. I love the way the blocks in this program objectify the code and was wondering are there any more advanced programs that serve in the same way.

Stencyl might be what you're looking for. It uses blocks similarly to Scratch and you can make iPod/iPhone games.

Android app inventer is one by MIT. I haven't tried it much myself, but it's a lot like scratch.
