How to convert .midis to .wavs?

I sometimes use Finale, and it can only convert .mus files and .midis. How tdo I turn one of these into a .wav?

This program is what I use for that. It produces excellent sounding 8-bit music from midis. If you're wanting a program that will produce high quality songs, I'm afraid that's not possible. Midis are just a series of tones so you can't get the full range of frequency that you can with waves.

I made my profile picture in 2011 when I was 12 and it is by far my greatest artistic achievement.

I think in Noteflight you can import a .midi file and change it to an instrument then download it as a .wav

Follow this guide to record a media player playing your MIDI, in Audacity. You could get interesting results using other soundfonts, in Timidity (I believe that lets you convert MIDI to audio files too, but I never quite figured out how to use it).

How to convert .midis to .wavs?

I usually import the MIDI into Logic Express. Garageband works too though. (And really any other DAW or notation program.) Drag the MIDI in, press humanize if you want to add variety to it, and click Export or Bounce. The DAW selects it's software instrument plugins that best fit the midi instruments in your file.

Also Finale does have an option to export as a WAV file; just a second I'm looking for it.

EDIT: How to export as .wav in Finale 2012:

From the file menu, select “Export to Audio File”. Choose “Standard Audio File” and save the file. From there, (at least on Mac), it will give you an AIFF file, which you can convert to WAV easily using any audio converter (such as iTunes).

Not sure if it's the same for other versions of Finale, although I'm guessing it is.
Also not sure if it gives you a WAV file on windows, since that's their default lossless audio format.
