ITopic - What is or isn't ok to share on Scratch?
Haha I always say Scratch Appropriate. As long as you use a whitelist (list of words that players can say) Are public chat projects allowed on Scratch?Yes, that's completely fine as long as the logos are scratch appropriate. It is OK for me to be making logos for other scratchers, right?
Hee just wondering. a lot of people do it like me and I want to show scratchteam I am a great scratcher!

It's good we have guidelines!Scratch 2.0 does have lots of scratchers. Follow guidelines. We are trying to follow the guidelines. That is why we are asking about what we want to share is ok on this thread.
Well The Question is, Did Anyone EVER Get Reported For a Misspelt Word And Get Banned For It?! If So, That Is WROWNG Guidelines!

Almost did. Also;
What sort of rating would this get? Just an idea I ran by Paddle a couple of days ago.

Would a project with violence in text count as inappropriate?

I had an idea for a project:
It's a (multiplayer?) shooter game similar to Counter-Strike - run around, defeat enemies, etc.
There are no “real” guns, all the weapons are something silly (like a gun made of Legos).
The teams are Red and Blue, and the gamemode is a team deathmatch.
There is no chat or dialogue (lines spoken by the characters), although you can use various LIMITED voice commands (like calling for help).
The players can “die”, although they're not shown as dead (just lying on the ground), and there's no blood.
I have a few concerns about this.
1 - I've seen things like “projects with violence hurting people or animals can't be frontpaged”. Would this count as violent?
2 - Would using real guns and weapons be acceptable?
3 - Similarly, if I included weapons based on (but not identical to) real-life ones, would that also be acceptable?

If you come across any curses or otherwise mean swears definitely report (or flag) it. but stuff that might be smemily-inappropriate, such as thee YouTube video “Gangman Style,” check inside to see the content.

It will probably be marked as a NFE. Just wondering, is it ok to use the *beep* sound effect to censor an entire swear word out?
What's NFE?
“NFE” Means “Not for Everyone.” To make a dictionary entry short, it means that that project/studio has content that some Scratchers wouldn't care about but seems inappropriate to some. NFE rated projects will not be able to be frontpaged.
P.S- Too late did I realize someone else had already answered that question. Sorry for stealing your thunder.

I've seen Scratch projects with guns in it. I think it's fine as long as there isn't any bloody and gorey mess. Are gun drawings allowed? ;-; Cuz I made a Fallout design for my character and it includes her weapon….

We should just ask the Scratch Team to not allow such things.

I agree. What isn't on Scratch stays off Scratch. We should just ask the Scratch Team to not allow such things.

Would showing a person smoking a pipe be okay? Also, would showing blood be okay, if there was an option to turn it off?

If you don't use both heavily, it's okay. For example, if your project includes something that encourages people to smoke or any other bad manner, or if your project includes too much blood which disturbs people; then it is definitely inappropriate. You can try asking yourself: If I were a little child, would I get scared of this/these? Would showing a person smoking a pipe be okay? Also, would showing blood be okay, if there was an option to turn it off?
Best wishes & regards.

I'm making a project showing off how I draw a picture, and the picture includes bases that I draw first, then the hair/clothes, and faces. But the base isn't colored and it doesn't show private parts. Should I include the base (the first part of my drawing) in the project? Or do I have to censor it?
