Put all rules into the community guidelines

Right now, the community guidelines page does not include rules such as “No project copying” and “No chatrooms”. I think that it should include all rules for the scratch website because according to the interface for reporting projects, you report projects if it breaks the Community Guidelines, not if it breaks any rule for the Scratch website.

Yes! We need that!
I did something on the forums.. that I did not know was wrong in 1.4, and minutes later, a admin message got sent to me and it made me feel terrible. The Moderators also edited my post, and added a note. Since I was a new scratcher, I could not edit that out. It felt just HORRIBLE!!! .

I see notes like these on some people's posts:
(removed by moderator- please don't publicize in the forums)
And I think that I know what caused the note to be added!
Most scratchers who have these notes on the forums probably don't know that they should not use names when reporting problems on the forums. So, most of these notes started with the scratcher not knowing the rules.

So it is obvious that the rules should be added… before a scratcher breaks the rules without knowing it. VERY SUPPORT!!!

I think it'd be a great idea to list out all the rules, but the community guidelines doesn't seem like a good place for this.
The CG are more like etiquette, how to behave and act, but not necessarily specific rules, like “No mentioning specific users' names when talkin about negative situations.” Also, there are quite a number of these “obvious” rules to older scratchers but not to newer ones, so when a new scratcher reads the CG, it's be a long list and they might be intimidated by it or just not read it at all.

Perhaps something like “Project Guidelines” and “Forum Guidelines” would be a good place for these.

i agree they should be added. a lot of the older admin messages read something along the lines of “read the community guidelines”, however the guidelines are too vague to explain exactly what rule was broken. in addition it's unfair not to have important rules in an easily accessible location because new users won't know where to find them (and end up getting yelled at by the rest of us) - it would save a lot of hassle and explanation to have a list.

There should definitely be somewhere where the rules of the site and forums are listed in detail.

There are some rules in the FAQ's, but the “No project copying” rule is only in the wiki and not anywhere else.

Well, see, the ST made the Community Guidelines short, sweet, and to the point. What I think they should do is have a page or forums post or something for every section of the guidelines that go into deeper explanation, so that way it stays the way they designed it and still has enough detail.

Thanks for the ride, Scratch Team and community! Unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on from Scratch, so I'll no longer be using the forums. Thanks again, and farewell!
