My Custom Programming Language!: PaintScript

Hello! I'm working on my own programming language similar to Scratch. Except PaintScript is typed with text instead.

Here is an example program:

Scratch:
when green flag clicked
say [Hello, World! :)]

PaintScript:

#PaintScript 0.1
#Sprite Sprite_1

@Start {
say(“Hello, World! ”);
call @refresh; // PaintScript does not refresh the screen automatically.
}

I'm trying to make the transition to actual coding easier, and I think PaintScript is the way.

PaintScript is written in C# and you can find it here: https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/PaintScript-Engine

Here you can give me suggestions of what to add next!

This reminds me a bit of ACS.
Also, can you update the link? It seems to be broken.

Sorry, the repo was private. I just made it public. This repo is just the runtime, written in C#. The compiler and linker is written in Python.
The compiler compiles PaintScript to JSON. I'm also working on a language server for vscode.

The Compiler, and Definition of the language here: https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/PaintScript-Standard

The language server here (I forgot to change the readme): https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/Paintscript-Language-Support

The runtime: https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/PaintScript-Engine

The app that uses PaintScript (Broken!): https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/PaintPower-Engine

Any contributions will help, if you can't code you can at least help define PaintScript's structure.

I am happy to report that PaintScript just went through it's first test. An example script compiled and ran:

I hope it goes farther. For anyone interested, visit https://github.com/CocoInk-Ink/PaintScript-Standard and help me write the definition!

I noticed you got a emoji in your paintscript example. Fourm tip: use this instead:

instead of
