This contains nothing.
Let me know what you think about the following text
This contains nothing.
//!WARNING!//
The following text is literally meaningless.
========================================================================
You already read the warning, you know that this has no meaning other than the meaning you give it. That meaning being the satisfaction of finishing something that nobody else has. The truth is that no — this is not satire, rather, it is fully legitimate. This paper is about nothing interesting at all.
You do know what “Nothing” means, right? If not, here is a quick definition. Nothing is the absence of something. The lack of existence. The abyss, as an example. Or, a more scientific example, the vacuum of space. In space, there are only about 8 atoms per meter — but wait, that’s still something, you may say. But in some centimeters of space, there is truly nothing at all. No matter to be had, no energy… nothing. There is, and never was, a point in reading this. Your eyes glide along lines carved for a road that never came. In this text you will be told over and over again, there is no meaning in this text. You keep reading in hopes that there is something interesting, maybe even a life lesson. Unfortunately for you, there isn’t, or maybe perhaps there is. How will you ever know if you never get to the end? It is the things that you don’t see that could be important. If you are hungry but give up on trying to cross the river, how will you ever reach the apple on the other side of the imaginary tree? It’s truly paradoxical. You simply cannot. The only way is to not give up, it is too late to give up, you are too far into the depths of this text, you might be thinking that I am lying, surely there is something inside the text, right? Surely this is all a buildup to something big. However, there is no way that anyone would ever write this much text just to sneak something meaningful inside, right? Let me ask you a question; a question that is very difficult to answer, because of how unimaginable it is. Let’s say that space is just a 2d circle on a paper, and that we are in the center. If space will endlessly expand, then this means that there will always be blank paper to expand onto, but if space is the circle, then what would be on the blank paper, what if you were to exit the hypothetical circle? This is a stupid, but interesting question, most importantly, the question is not relevant.
You are still here? At this point I feel as if you are not expecting some twist, rather you are doing it because you are bored. Although I don’t see the appeal, everyone is different I suppose. You are so close to completing the first page! Why give up now, when you are so close to completing something useless! You know exactly what to expect, the end of your objective in which you set out on is almost complete. Ready for more?
You have reached a major checkpoint in your quest. Good job, you wasted your time reading something that not only contains nothing of particular importance, but something that was never meant to be finished, the only importance this has, is the importance of which you gave it.
You can continue reading for as long as you’d like, however you already know that no matter how long you read — that this is all pointless; and always will be. You got to respect the fact that someone even wrote this. You already know that this is written by humans, it becomes easy to run out of things to write about, especially for something like this. The same stuff is just repeated, although explained differently. However I am resolute to not repeat the same stuff. Shall we take a deeper turn into the definition of nothing?
Nothing can not exactly be defined, you can’t picture nothing. You may argue that you can, but you will literally always be wrong, some people picture nothing as a white void, but that is something. Technically nothing is a paradox, nothing is still something, even though; the word is the absence of something. What if we try to explain pointless? Nope, basically the same thing, the word pointless is an adjective, meaning it is used to describe something, which gives it a point. What if I were to say that nothing is pointless? I can hear that sentence in two ways. The first way I hear it is “nothing is pointless,” meaning that the absence of something is pointless. The second way I hear it is “nothing is pointless,” meaning that everything has meaning or a purpose. What I have just stated is a case of semantic ambiguity. Here is a quick rundown: semantic ambiguity occurs when a phrase or sentence has multiple meanings because of how the words or phrases can be interpreted. Now that we got that down, we can continue.
Why are you still here, genuinely why? You are wasting your time, this has no point. Past this point there is nothing of interest. You're basically listening to someone playing piano, but they are just holding a key the whole time. Why haven’t you given up yet? Did someone dare you to read every word? Or are you just doing it out of pure boredom? Actually, at this point it doesn’t matter, you won’t give up will you? You seem determined to finish it all, I suppose that you can do whatever you want, and it shouldn’t matter what I think you should be doing with your time. Maybe there was a point to this? You learned a few things.. Which means that this all has a point but wait, this still doesn’t change the fact that it was not relevant to the topic. This was never meant for someone to actually read, although there was nothing saying you couldn’t, therefore this means that I don’t have a right to tell you to stop reading. I think that it is time that I end this once and for all. I hope that you enjoyed your time reading this, and perhaps this did have a point.

What you just read.
“Nothing. But wait… is it really the end?”
My answer is no.
Let me see here, there is no longer much to talk about; surely these pages aren’t that interesting. Here, let me give some reasons why you should quit.
Not interesting.
Openly confusing.
The text is probably boring.
How is it not boring?
I am running out of things to list.
Not done yet.
Go do something useful.
I just used something called an “acrostic.” When something is an acrostic, it means there’s a hidden word within a text, usually read via capital letters. In this case, the secret word was “Nothing,” spelled out in the bullet points. I like exploring these phenomena — confusing, yet fascinating. I think if I keep exploring these here, it would give this text a point, a meaning. So I will save it for something else.
You’re still reading, darn. Here, imagine something: a clock. Is it gold? Maybe silver? Or digital? The point is, the seconds are ticking down, and ticking, and ticking. It gets louder… and suddenly, it stops. You think it might have just paused momentarily. Surely it will continue… right? It never starts, and now you feel as if something is amiss. The usual ticking is gone. Are you happy, or upset?
The stars in this text will never align, my friend. No, this is not apophenia — the stars will never align, because they don’t exist. This was a pointless reason to use space in the text. Some things are never meant to have meaning. Like it or not, this is true. Nobody even said time was real. Things move, yes, but even without time, things still moved and happened. Just something to think about.
(All of it was written by me, Some of it was written by a friend, but 99% of it was me)
