When you go on the scratch home page you see featured projects…. I want more featured projects and perhaps more variety.

They already feature a project every day most days, how much more frequently do you want them to add featured projects?

If you have any suggestions for projects to be featured, please suggest them here.

Oh man nice pfp. If they are already featuring them every day, then that's pretty good… although the variety does seem a bit lacking. I do want to note the variety used to be worse having a lot of platformers mainly and now we don't usually have many platformers on the front page which is certainly a step up. I would say possibly making a new category on the front page called something like “Hidden gems” but I am aware that this is currently met.

At the time of posting this, here is a list of the featured projects:

• The Story Of Flappy Bird | Animation
This project is an animation, and nothing like the other featured projects.

• New-Home
This is a game featuring a wolf, the creator's school mascot (according to the project instructions).

• Key Master
This is a game where you must click on a ley corresponding with an image in the project, and you have 5 seconds to do so, at least at the beginning of the project.

• Design a Poolside!
A game where you design a poolside, the creator made all the assets you can work with.

• Shadow Ninja
I haven't played it but apparently it's a game with several different realms you can enter, according to project instructions.

• decorate - a little bit -
Decorate a little shelf with all sorts of cute items.

• The Festival of Light | Happy Diwali!
You can find all sorts of information on the holiday, and play minigames inspired by Diwali. Actually really cool.

• Grow!
Direct water to a plant so it grows.

• Night Shift - Jam Entry
Go through a platformer-style map and touch light orbs. Every time you touch one the map expands.

• One? #All #Animations #Stories
An animation, I'm not watching it but comments agree it's very well made.

• Training In Boxing V.1.6
A literal boxing game, find something else like that on Scratch at all I dare you.

• Death by Sausage | a short story game | #games
A short story/game. As the title clearly says.

• Stranded On A Desert Island
A island survival game.

• Make Your Own Dragon! ⭐️ #all #remix #games #art
A game where you can design and create your own personalized dragon.

• ☕️ The Autumn Cafe ☕️
Make your own coffee order, in a minigame drawn completely by the creator.

• Above the Skies // #games #art
Fly a rocket and dodge hot air balloons? I'll be playing this after I finish the post for sure.

• Hand Shadows
Move around little hands to make your own hand shadow.

• On Halloween
Make sure skeletons are in the correct pose before trying to fit them inside a pumpkin.

• Tunnels of Fortune
Story game about locating treasure in some sort of tunnel/cave.

• SNAKE CREATOR
Customize and move around your snake.

Read through all those and claim, again, that the games are not diverse. Yes, there are several games and animations, but each game is not only well made but original and unlike any of the other games. Same goes for each animation. They are all originally made, and none of them tell the exact same story through the animation.

Like jvvg said, if you think you know a better game that should be featured you can propose it to be. Otherwise, the games currently featured are literally all unalike in some if not many ways.

My opinions are very subjective, and I found the front page to be less generic than I thought but still.

Maybe the issue is thay you don't enjoy most categories of Scratch projects? You acknowledge that your views are not objective, so it doesn't make too much sense to blame it on the ST.

There are, and there are also plenty on the featured page. That one I can somewhat agree with you on, I've never seen that many in one place. However, they're all made originally and differently than the other ones. All assets are made fully and completely by the creators, so I (personally) have no issue when that hard work is shown off on the featured page.

Like I said in my original message, while there are a good several games, each game is made originally and have a completely different concept from other games. The fact they are both platformer style games doesn't mean they lack variety.

What projects should be on the front page is defiantly not based on individual likings, it's based on how well made the project is. Like you said, it definatly took a “fair amount” of time.

None of them are as ‘in-depth’ as this one, and defiantly not as well made. Not to mention there's no other game on the featured projects that have anything to do with boxing.

Maybe you'll be shocked to know some featured projects aren't that full of code. That has nothing to do with how well the project is made. The project is original, well made, and well designed. The only project I've found like it is this one, except in the project being featured now you can create your own shadows.

Again, all of these games are differently. Most important, all of these games are well made. That's what featured projects are really about btw, not each project being completely different. They're good games, animations, and works, and they're put on the front page so talented small creators can be recognized.

Like said before, you can always propose your own personal favorites to be featured.

Dude seriously check out 16, it has very little code which I know doesn't mean its bad but… wouldent it make more sense to have games that actually took time on the front page? Its weird to have something as simple that I could make from memory in like 30 minutes next to stuff that took multiple days.

Then ignore the featured projects if you don't like them.

I never said it was a real problem, it's a suggestion as this is the suggestion forums.

But in all fairness, I should have treated what I said as opinion not factual. Also where I responded to each game, I should have given some of them more credit, the boxing game's visuals I genuinely find mesmerizing. Although I find it odd the amount of design games that get featured, they do all have distinct visuals. But my opinion on the shadow hands project remains the same.

Not quite. OP is suggesting to expand the list of featured projects to allow for more variety, not just “add more variety.” It's up to interpretation whether this overlaps with TOLORS or not, but I decided not to quote TOLORS because it seems to be different enough from the rejected suggestion.
