France, Denmark, Luxemborg, Norway, West Germany, East Germany, and Poland were all involved. and let's not forget that i came here for information about tank specifications and got 100 ways i'm wrong about the Cold War.

The European governments took sides as a result of the chaos following World War II. Nazi Germany fell, it was basically a race for Europe. The US and USSR were converting countries into different ideologies. It's not like the countries had a choice! They pretty much had to. (I may be wrong here.)
And why do you need tank information? Wikipedia article if that helps any.

If you want information about specifics like tanks then you don't need our help. You already know what you're looking for - go look it up

No, you didn't. I'm sorry you feel that way but we're not trying to criticise you at all.

What you have got is several of us trying to understand something that currently exists only in your head. From what you've now told us it sounds like you're not actually interested in making a game about the Cold War. What you're interested in making seems to be an alternative history game.

To be honest that's both easier to do and likely to be more fun as a board game

Maybe a Settlers of Catan but instead of gathering wood you gather uranium.
