Two letter usernames?

I thought that usernames had to be at least 3 letters long, but I just found out that an account called “me” used to exist. However the account has been deleted, but their followers page can still be viewed https://scratch.mit.edu/users/me/followers/

And then I found out about two more 2 letter accounts, “hi” and “no”.

How were these accounts created if accounts need to be 3 letters long? Are they glitched accounts? Were two letter usernames a thing at one point? Are they test accounts belonging to the ST? I’d like to know more about this!

(Apologies if this qualifies as gossiping due to mentioning real usernames. The question is moreso about two lettered usernames and mentioning some examples, not about the owners of the accounts)

Weird, if you comment on hi’s projects and refresh the page, your comment disappears. What’s going on??

I think this might be before the 3-letter limit for Srcath.

This may be that your comment might have not be posted, but if it seems like no one has posted there, I don't really know the cause.

Someone on hi's profile comments made a comment saying that they can't comment on hi's projects, so it's not just me.

there's actually a lot of usernames that break the 3-20 letter rules. the three letter rule didn't used to exist a very long time ago

edit: there's possible more that i didn't mention in the link above that can be found here

2-letter usernames were allowed in 2007-2013, but after that, 2-letter usernames were no longer allowed.

huh, interesting
Still don't know why you can't comment on hi's projects. I might have to make another thread about that…
