CAN you make a jumpscare filled horror game IF you have an warning screen with a button to press to continue?

What I'm saying is can you have an EXTREME horror game BUT if you add a button to make it continue. If not what if you made them type something like
( I KNOW THAT THIS IS A HORROR GAME AND I KNOW THAT THERE ARE JUMPSCRAES IN THE GAME) maybe if you made them type all of that in it would be allowed. Honestly I think it would be allowed if there was a good warning.
when green flag clicked
if <horrorgame> then
ask [DOES IT HAVE A GOOD WARNING] and wait

I believe this is okay, as long as there is no serious NFE content like blo0d.

I'm searching for a kid-friendly name for the genre of ‘bear mascot spooky’ games.

Horror games aren't allowed upon warning, even if they contain mild, nonexplicit gore, horror, or jumpscares. Remember, this is a kids' site meant for kids. Warnings do not influence ST's decision to take it down.

No, you cannot have an extreme horror game, even with a warning.

Happy almost-mid 2024! My favorite book series are Percy Jackson, The Unwanteds, and Keeper of the Lost Cities! I've read all of the books.

Here's a Scratch Partners studio you can join if you're new OR if you want to help out someone new!

No. A “warning” will not impact the Scratch Team's judgement on whether something on the site should be or not.

Here's another thing to think about what if it wasn't so much as HORROR but more as just a gory game. What I'm saying is what if it had a proper and effective warning?

Also a good idea for the scratch Devs is to make kind of a section of scratch that involves more mature horror themes or something for 13+ kids who want to make horror games but cant because of scratch guidelines?

Did you not read my above post? The answer is no, you cannot. A warning will do nothing. When Scratch Team members review a project, no warnings will be taken in mind. It's pointless.
A “mature version of Scratch” is rejected.

The Official List of Rejected Suggestions wrote:

7.2 A 13+ version of the Scratch website or age-restricted content

Scratch is designed for ages 8 to 16, but any content shared on the website must be appropriate for all ages. Dividing the community by making a separate, age-restricted website would not be helpful. Potential restrictions from entering the website (such as a warning, or requiring a parent to answer math equations) would not necessarily stop an underage child from entering the 13+ website.

This suggestion extends to age-restricting anything on Scratch, such as viewing specific projects or accessing specific Scratch features. As a general rule, Scratch is for all ages, and content shared on the Scratch website should be appropriate for all ages.

If you want to create horror games, you can make them, but don't share them on Scratch.

If you must put a warning in your scary projects, then it's not allowed.

If your game is so inappropriate / gory that you require a warning , it's probably not suitable for Scratch.

Horror or gore? Is it a shooting game with realistic weapons? That's not allowed. Is it a spooky game with ghosts , zombies and the like but no gore? The latter would be allowed.

Jumpscares aren't even allowed:

Speakvisually (when he was an ST member) wrote:

Which elements are considered inappropriate according to the Scratch Community Guidelines?
Graphic Content: Depictions or audio that emulate weapons, gore, or violence.
Intense Themes: Serious or scary topics.
Vulgarity: Disrespectful or mature language.
Jumpscares: Startling images that abruptly flash on the screen.
