Appeal for a deleted account?

Hello, my account was deleted by ST, I was wondering I can send an appeal to the appeal contact to get my account back (because, my account was deletion banned).

Contact Us is your best bet as far as I'm aware. It may take a while to get a response since it can be busy at times.

Scratch Team prefers using Contact Us instead of directly sending a message to the appeals email address. (Better than both is to use the appeals form that appears in the ban screen when you log in, but of course you can't access that if your account is deleted.)

Also can ST actually restore a deleted account?

It's probably best to only send one appeal for now.

Can ST actually restore my account though? And can I send a mail to the contact us asking why my account was banned and then one to appeals with an appeal? (like I already know why I was banned but I'm still using Contact us but making an appeal too)

I think it's worth mentioning that if your account was deleted (it says “This account was deleted!” when you try logging in) then it will probably not be restored. From my experience, lots of users including me have had accounts that were deleted and were unable to restore them – especially if it was deleted by the Scratch Team, not just if the user accidentally deleted the account.

Can I send an appeal through the appeals place and also explain my account was deleted because I was banned and want it restored alongside my appeal

If the account is deleted, then records of it have likely been deleted from server memory and cannot be restored without going through the raw data from server hard drives and finding the records of your account (when a computer deletes something, it actually just deletes the thing that points to it. The file(s) get overwritten over time), which may have been overwritten already.

The devs really need to update the scratch-gui repo- I'm getting at least 19 “npm warn deprecated” warnings whenever I try to install its dependencies, and yes, I'm using the latest version of node.js and npm. Then again, the dev page on this website and the wiki in the repo still refer to Scratch 3.0 in beta, and link the current website as an example of 2.0.

It takes a while for the ST to respond- they have a lot of stuff so sift through to find your appeal, and then they have to make a decision about it.

Aw man but would it still be possible for ST to restore a deleted account if someone asks
