Ok, this is going to sound like a really cookie-cutter suggestion but I have a point.

The moderation on Scratch has been getting abysmal. As an example, recently the Scratch Team implemented a new moderation system to the forums. This new system is really stupid, as words like “*” and “d*mn” have been censored.



This is really stupid, as the Scratch Team has allowed these words for YEARS without any problem, and there is even a whole rejected suggestion for it.

Another thing that I would like the Scratch Team to improve upon is Cubeupload. When posting a comment with a Cubeupload link in it, the Phone Number Filter automatically censors the link because it has a series of numbers in it. And when that happens, it sometimes changes the numbers to a series of X's. And when that comment is posted, the Filterbot automatically assumes you are talking about “Ooh La La” Websites and it mutes you for a time from 5 minutes, to 12 Hours. This is a major flaw in the system and I hope this can be improved upon.

Knowing the Scratch Team, this suggestion (and most other suggestions) will never be implemented, but I hope the ST considers this one.

It has literally always been like this, that was not a new thing, Za-Chary did a lil' trick to go around the asterisk that I'm probably better off not saying.

This isn't new. This awkward forum filter has existed since 2013 when the 2.0 forums were first created.

That's the phone number filter — that's why all the X's appear.

I don't see a suggestion. Are you proposing that the Scratch Team should make the forum filter more consistent with the rest of the website? If so, you should say this in your suggestion. While there are words in the forum filter that are inconsistent with the rest of the website, I wouldn't say it's really a big deal. After all, it's pretty easy to say things like “dang” or “crud” as opposed to their counterparts.

crap and damn were already censored. in fact, there's a suggestion to remove the old forum filter thats censoring that, so dupe
