Multiple gradients on one object (Make sure you read post #1 before posting here.)
It would be easier to make rainbows and it's not too complex to understand.
I think it should be worth a try making in scratch lab then later in real scratch if it's good.
There is a workaround, to use multiple objects, but I think there should be an easier way to do this. Also it would be extremely difficult to get multiple transparent gradients in the circle type gradient by doing a workaround instead.

-snip-We could also incorporate this suggestion into it, but we will need a different mockup for it.
a problem with this is that each transition is the same length, so if you wanted a more sudden transition you would have to add a lot of redundant stops, or make a separate shape

So like a button to add another color to the gradient?

I think this is a dupe if you're talking about BBcode formatting but ocular is broken on my device so can't search for it.

personally i don't see this coming really in handy, as there is a way to do it different shapes (as you said) and you can group them
this workaround is really simple…

There is a workaround, to use multiple objects, but I think there should be an easier way to do this.Yeah this is a good point

No support, it would be too complex for a basic paint editor. However, there could be a button to automatically select it to rainbow.

I think this is a dupe if you're talking about BBcode formatting but ocular is broken on my device so can't search for it.No not BBcode the rainbow text on my post isn't a mockup.
personally i don't see this coming really in handy, as there is a way to do it different shapes (as you said) and you can group themMight not be as easy to change the gradient.

https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/452895 is a duplicate of the opacity suggestion, so no.
No support, it would be too complex for a basic paint editor. However, there could be a button to automatically select it to rainbow.Too complex? If it's too complex just don't use it, we can keep the current gradient system too. Automatically selecting it to rainbow is a good idea, but more options would be optimal. (No I didn't misspell “optional” I mean “optimal”.)

Oh wait, now that I realize, that linked topic is about two unrelated suggestions. So perhaps this is an original topic, coolThis is a duplicate though: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/452895It is about paint editor.
https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/452895 is a duplicate of the opacity suggestion, so no.

Support, this would be convenient to have, especially for radial gradients where you can't just stick on extra objects.

Ok, so I made a mockup. Is this sort of what you mean?Good mockup!

Ok, so I made a mockup. Is this sort of what you mean?Well, if this is what they means, the workaround would be very simple and that's to add multiple shapes between each colour, however, I do think that this would save some time as compared to this workaround. I support.

-snip-Well I might need color ripples one day. I shouldn't have to waste time just to make some the hard way so more gradients on one object needs to be made possible.
Also it would be extremely difficult to get multiple transparent gradients in the circle type gradient by doing a workaround instead.

If someone has a different idea for a mock-up of this suggestion, you can share the different mock-up here, and it will be added to the op if approved.

I wonder if would be difficult to add this to scratch, maybe not?
