Hello! I'm PokéBasic.
I'm currently developing a Pokémon fangame in Visual Basic.NET 2010!
I would like this to be a joint project, as I would like:

• Pokémon sprite designers
  Story writers (to create the story of this game)
  Programmers
  Build testers
  

If anyone is interested, please reply to this!

Here is what I have developed so far:

• Battle System
  Dialog with Prof Oak
  Pick your pokémon screen.
  Walking engine.
  

All I need now are original characters and pokémon.

I've got barely anything in mind atm. So yeah I need your help haha!

So far, the game starts off with a fight between Ash and Gary. that's all I got.
then Oak comes along and asks if you're okay, and then you can start your pokémon adventure.

Wow that's a really ambitious project! I think if you tell Microsoft that you want to build something big they will give you a copy of VB 2013 for free (free upgrade, w00t!). My friend did this because he wanted to build some integrated apps with Office.

Guys, I got some bad news.
I regret to inform you that my computer hard drive blew this afternoon.
So when I get a new computer, PokeCamo will be COMPLETELY re-made. Possibly even better than before.

Here's a story I had in mind:

Ash and Gary are talking about what Pokemon they'll get, when a wild Eevee appears out of nowhere. Gary catches it with a Poke Ball - but angers a group of Pokemon. Ash and Gary are chased to Oak's lab, where Oak agress to give Gary some training with his new Pokemon, whilst he gives Ash a choice of three rare starters, seeing as he was more patient that Gary. Gary is angry with Ash - seeing as he got to choose, and they become rivals. Meanwhile, Team Rocket want to get hold of the Pokemon that Ash chose as it was contaminated with a special type of Pokerus, and they want to infect their whole team of Pokemon with it. Ash is unaware and heads to the first Gym in Greengrass Town. There he meets the Grass-type gym leader, Bloom. She realises that one of her Pokemon is stolen from the Pokemon Centre after the battle and agrees to help Ash find the bandits.

At the second Gym in Masoncarver City, Ash goes to Team Rocket's Warehouse to find out if Team Rocket is responsible. Whilst inside, Ash is kidnapped by Team Rocket and is challanged to a battle with the Commander. Ash wins and keeps his Pokemon and gets to the Gym, where he meets the Rock-type Gym leader - Darius. Ash wins and Darius gives Ash as Masoncarver symbol - as Darius believes it may be useful later on in his journey. Bloom meets with the two and tells Darius about what happened in Greengrass Town and Ash tells her what happened in the warehouse. Bloom realises that her Pokemon had Pokerus too and that was why they took it. Bloom gives Ash a map of the Team Rocket HQ map, where she thinks that her Pokemon is kept. She warns Darius to keep his Pokemon safe, as one of them appears to have Pokerus.

Ash travels to the third Gym, but goes through Stone Island, and sees three medal-shaped indents in a boulder. At Insul City, Ash battles the third Gym leader, the electric-type Gareth, but the lights go out at the end and they see a Team Rocket grunt attempt to steal Ash's Pokemon. Ash battles him and the grunt reveals that his Pokemon has a special type of Pokerus, and if Ash gives him the Pokemon - he'll give Ash mo more trouble. Ash declines and runs out of the Gym with Gareth, and report everything to Officer Jenny. Jenny says that she will investigate and try and find where all the missing Pokemon are taken. At the fourth Gym, a little girl's Pokemon has been taken.

In Katuni Island, where the fourth Gym is, Ash and the water-Type leader; Maria, find the little girl's Pokemon on a boat, so Maria gives Ash a Marill so he can Surf up to the boat and take back all the Pokemon. Ash does this but finds another Commander - and they battle. Ash wins and takes the Pokemon, and returns to Maria, returning her Marill as well as the little girl's Pokemon. Maria gives Ash the HM Surf as a reward, and the two battle. Ash wins and Maria gives him an amulet, which she found whilst walking past the Team Rocket Warehouses. On the route to the fifth Gym, Ash is confronted by Gary, and they battle. After the battle, Gary explains that Team Rocket stole his Eevee whilst in Insul City and asked Ash if he knew anything about it. Ash explains everything and the two agree that Team Rocket are trying to steal Pokemon that are infected with the special Pokerus.

In Condense Village, where the fifth Gym is, Shaun; the fifth Gym leader, is about to battle Ash when a Team Rocket grunt tackles him to the ground and they slide off the ground into a gorge. Shaun's daughter steps in whilst the rest of his family go down to find him. Ash wins and goes down to the gorge. He lands in a small cave and finds a medallion on the floor. He travels through the cave and finds Shaun's Pokemon being taken by the grunt. Ash battles the grunt and he wins, as well as giving Shaun his Pokemon. Ash returns to Stone Island and puts the three medallions in their corresponding places. It opens a door in a cave and Ash finds all the missing Pokemon, along with Giovanni. Giovanni battles Ash but Ash wins, and Giovanni explains what is happening.

He explains that they found a legendary Pokemon in the cave that was in a deep coma. Team Rocket realised that they needed to infect it with a special type of Pokerus, in order for it awaken. However, there were only a few cases in the entire world, the nearest being Ash's starter. Team Rocket leave, realising how hopeless the situation is. Gary comes in and finds his Eevee, still alive. Gary thanks Ash and the two aren't rivals anymore, but Gary still wants to become the Champion. Ash goes to the sixth Gym in Skylark City, where he battles flying-Type Gym leader Breezie and Garina. Ash then battles Gary before going to the Elite Four. After beating the Elite Four, Ash becomes Champion, but has to beat Gary in order to do so. He wins and the game is done.
