There is an easy way to do that. Remove all projects, forum posts, and try to remain as inactive as possible. That way, there is no way for anyone to find out about you and you won't gain any followers.

If you just say “I changed my mind, I don't want to do a backflip into my filthy water pool anymore,” then you don't have to do it anymore. A benefit (?) to saying this is that you might lose the followers who were expecting you to do this.
