So about 14 hours ago, I got muted for 14 hours.

I guess that issue was so big that even talking about it will get you muted.
Scratch Team please don’t ban my account it’s the messy filterbot that’s doing this!

Yes, I believe that “unfollow @griffpatch” may have been added to the comment filter as people were spamming it around Scratch. Sometimes the Scratch Team will add phrases that people frequently flood comment sections with as lots of people find it annoying.
Also, I don’t believe you have to be too worried about being banned- it appears that you can get muted plenty of times without being banned.

I think the filterbot should look at the whole message, and not just finding the bad stuff. So it can find the context to either be a big mute, or an approval.

It would be very hard, perhaps even impossible to create a filter bot that could detect the context of a phrase 100% of the time. While sometimes the Scratch Team will add whitelisted phrases to the filterbot (for example, pretend “carrot” is used as a bad word but only in some contexts. So, the Scratch Team decides to add the word “carrot” to the blacklisted phrases, meaning if you try to post it in a comment it will be caught by the filterbot. But, if “carrot” wasn’t used as a bad word in the context of “that’s a carrot,” then the Scratch Team might add that phrase to the whitelist, meaning anyone can post that phrase- just not the word carrot on it’s own,) it is not possible for the filterbot to detect context of phrases otherwise.

Maybe, but read this quote from the Official List of Rejected Suggestions:

7.3 Ban “follow for follow” (F4F)
Although many Scratchers do not enjoy seeing follow for follow requests, asking someone to participate in follow for follow is relatively harmless. If someone asks you to do follow for follow, and you do not want to, just politely decline their request. If they keep spamming you with requests, you can use the Report button on their comments.
It would only get blacklisted if it was being spammed, and from the sounds of it, the report button is the proper way to handle spamming. I suppose if a swarm of reports came in about spamming F4F in comments, then it might get temporarily banned, but otherwise everything would stay as it is.
