Hello! I'm Iris, a introvert weirdo who's a writer, reader, swimmer and theatre-nerd. I'm really happy that it's July, meaning it's the start of a new SWC session and also my birthday month. I'm also known as a nerd, a sensible and smart kiddo. I really like berries, ice cream and chicken in food, and I love playing basketball as well. I prefer the outdoors over indoors and absolutely love the nature, especially tropic areas. I'm a INFJ who's in the IST timezone and is a camper in script.

Miss Ranger's lips twitched as she walked towards my desk, anger blazing on her face.
“Emily Hope hand me up your homework, NOW! Or do you claim that you've not done it?”
Emily's expression turned up to be confused as she suddenly looked up from her book.
“What, Miss Ranger? Give you what? Give you, er- housework?”
Miss Ranger looked as if a snake bit her, completely shocked beyond brief.
“Are you joking around with me Miss Hope?” she stuttered silently in a manner known as dangerous.
Emily, again beyond confused, looked at Miss Ranger as if she was the joking one.
“Am I chocking? No, No, I'm not chocking. Why do you ask?”
Miss Ranger put a hand on her head, sensing she was having a hard time dealing with her.
“Emily Hope, this is beyond intolerable. Teachers deserve respect for what they do, and don't teach around to be joked around with. I'm giving you detention.”
Emily got stunned as Miss Ranger spoke. Did Miss Ranger eat a rotten breakfast or something?
“Send me to another dimension Miss, is that even possible? Er, are you alright, or should we call a doctor?”
This time, Miss Ranger lost it badly.
“Do you understand what I am saying girl, or are you deaf? I'm perfectly alright, but I'm not sure about you. I'll be calling your parents in some time, informing them about your behavior. Meanwhile, please go to the head's office and go have a short conversation with him.”
“Go to the, um Bread's office? Is there an office where you keep breads? Do you, do you want me to make you a bread snack to cure your sickness? If so, can you guide me please?”
A girl sitting next to Emily started laughing loudly, and smirked.
“There's no bread's office, it's the head's office, are you playing a prank?”
“Am I in a bank? Oh no, I'm in the geography classroom, Olivia”
Suddenly the school bell rang, and Emily rushed out of the door before Miss Ranger could deal with her.
“Emily, I insist you stop at once!”
Emily, who had reached her locker, then smirked and started laughing. It was all a well planned prank, and it had all gone perfect with her classmates help!

Ellen immediately took charge as soon as Miss Lewis assigned the class project crews.
“Okay, we should start now to have enough time to impress Miss Lewis with our project. Yelen, you can work on the museum art, Alice, you can draft out the work schedule and start planning, Darius can be writing out the script and I'll be leading and helping out in props” she said, quite proudly.
Darius, proud that Ellen said he was going to be leading, skipped up happily. He even thought it was a bit weird, since Ellen loved being a bossy leader most of the time.
“Thanks Ellen, that is quite kind of you! Alright, so we should meet up at 3:45pm today to discuss the project in and out” he said, feeling a sense of honour.
Ellen in the meanwhile, didn't suspect a thing wrong, but felt a bit sad when Darius suddenly took charge about the meeting. Didn't the leader plan those things out? Even though, she kept her lips shut.
“All up's Darius, but I think we should all have the meeting one hour later since I had theater practise”
“I'm fine with that, let's see each other later!” Alice cried out.
Ellen, tired from the theater practise, suddenly remembered about the meeting, and rushed out, thankfully she was on time.
“So, I was thinking about-”
She cut herself in the middle of her sentence, as she realised there was no one is the room. How odd, and decided to call up Yelen.
“Hello Yelen, I'm at the meeting room in school, are you guys running late?”
“Late, us? Talk about yourself, said to hold the meeting one hour earlier and didn't even show up, do you think we'll be waiting for you past 2hours?
”Huh, what? I said to hold the meeting 1 hour later- It's mean of you to leave me behind!“
”Leave you behind huh, we were on time, you were the one late and we discussed everything behind you, be punctual if you want to be a part of your plans“ Yelen snapped, and cut the call.
”What on-" Ellen, sad and tired, just summed it up to be a misunderstanding and went back home quietly.

I quickly ran to the history classroom, I wasn't in a mood to be late and get detention today. Miss Ross, our history teacher, didn't count on any children who were even a second late, I didn't want to be one of them. I shuffled through the class, and went to my desk in the middle row right next to the window. Just where I liked it! Rims Middle School was next toMiami Beach, and we were honoured by having our history classroom facing the sea. It looked especially lovely when the sun came and the waves shone.
My daydreaming was interrupted when Miss Ross came inside the classroom, carrying her huge bag and grumpy face with her. She must have had a bad night, usually the reason for her grumpiness. “Homework's out everybody, we'll start presenting them today!” she cried, and sat on her chair, her beady eyes met mine and I quickly looked away. I almost forgot about the homework, but thankfully it was in my bag and I silently took it out, scratching all my other books and making a huge sound. The history assignment was about our daily routine, and we had to write an essay on our routine and present it in the class. It was somewhat related to our topic, comparing the present to the past, and also got graded so I didn't want to mess it up. “Madison Hay, please start!” Miss Ross shouted, and quietened the class. Madison was the rich girl of the class. Don't get me wrong, she was super kind and friendly, and had broadway parents who earned millions.
“Good Morning, I'm Madison and I'm excited to share my routine with you!” she happily circled about. “I usually get up around 6am, not because of school, but my sleep opens up at that time, mostly because my parents are leaving for their rehearsals. You see, they have a very busy schedule” she said that last part a bit sadly, which surprised me.
If I had rich parents, I would be super happy. Some parents to be proud of, someone to make you see the good things of life than chores. At least, that's only what my parents give me, and some socks and books on Christmas and my birthday. I love them, but I feel jealous of Madison and Andrew, the son of the Mayor of Hollingides. It would be amazing, to live with parents like those. Madison and Andrew were so lucky, and I felt sad for all of a sudden, even though I know I should be grateful.
After school ended, I sighed loudly and happily skipped my way home, looking forward to relax. In the evening, I went for a walk across the town, when I heard a commotion going on nearby. My heart skipped a beat, as I realised I was next to Madison's house, and couldn't help but listen to their fight.
“Mom, please! I worked very hard to get the lead in the play, and you can't even make it! It's been ages and you guys haven't even seen my act, I'm much better now. Please?”
“Sweetheart, we know, but both Daddy and I have to do our dress rehearsal in our play, and we can't miss it”
“Mom, you don't spend any time with me, all of it is diverted to broadway!” Madison grumbled.
“I know, but don't you enjoy it? The house, the money, the food? All of it is because of it, and to continue it we have to work!”
“I don't need that stuff, all I want is to spend time with you and want you to be normal parents you know, like all my classmates have”
I silently walked back home, it was not great to eavesdrop. But I later on realised something, the grass is not always greener on the other side as we look at it, and became much more grateful in reality.

Part 1 : Fake Crime
1191 words
“Ta, Da Da Daaa!” I cried happily, flinging my arms in the script cabin and showing off what I was holding. “What’s up, finished your weekly?” asked Clo, putting aside her book. “It’s better than that, well not better- but whatever” I replied. “To celebrate script being in 6th, also completing around 15% of their word goal, I made a mango cake, especially taken from the mango farm in the camp. There is plenty to eat for everyone in the cabin!”
“Hurrah!” Everybody shouted, and started singing and celebrating. What it was to be a SWC-er!
“A second- I think I saw a- Never mind!” said Clo, and got an odd look on her face.
Everyone’s emotion took charge of them, as they eagerly stared at the mango cake, which shone when the sunlight came inside the cabin. All of us looked at the cake daringly. Rainii even bought the plates and forks.
“Uh, Hun!” Lio snapped as she came inside the cabin. “That looks like an amazing cake, Iris, but sadly we already had a huge feast after cabin wars yesterday, and I don’t want you to get sick right after we came in 6th today, or we’ll lose our place. You can have the cake tomorrow!”
“Aw, please Lio? That looks amazing!” Rosybeth begged, as she stared at the cake. “Sorry, but I don’t want any of you to end up under Matron’s eye!” she said, and took the cake and kept it in the fridge.
Everybody sulked after Lio went, and some of them even whimpered. “Now, now! Lio only wishes the best for you, and only wants the best for you all. I’m sure if you have a good cabin, she’ll let you have twice the treats!” Fae said quietly, trying to cheer them up.
The bell rang afterwards, and everybody loudly cheered. It was dinner time, and after their loss of excitement, they looked forward to meeting their fellow allies and enemies, even if some of them were a little mischievous. I hoped for a good meal, roasted chicken with grilled potatoes and ham, with huge glasses of mango juice freshly squeezed and made. Alas, I didn’t get what I hoped for- We got something even better! Sandwiches, jugs of lemonade with yoghurt and bowls of salad, and mago of course. All the SWC-ers dug in, and started talking along with their friends, discussing the new happenings of the day. “Hey, isn’t it odd the way the Fairy tales cabin is staring at us?” Clo leaned over towards me as whispered. I quickly peeked by their direction and saw what Clo was pointing at. “Yes, it’s indeed odd!” I whispered back, very puzzled. I took a quick glance at my matching script shirt and tried to spot any spillage on it. There was none! I quickly ate my dinner, puzzled. Afterwards, I had a small conversation with Rea, the fantasy co-leader, and Goose, the hi-fi co-leader. Before we finished the conversation, the bell rang again, meaning we had to go back to our cabins for bedtime.
The morning was a very shocking one. I woke up as usual around 6 o’clock, and got dressed and worked on my weekly for an hour. The weekly was worth 3500 points, which could get my cabin narrowly in 3rd place.
Soon, the entire cabin woke up, starting with Mayhem, Piper, Rainii and Lio. We all had breakfast, and got to know about the cabin results and daily. We were 4th, and all of us screamed happily! To celebrate even more, we all decided to have that amazing carrot cake, and left early from breakfast. To our surprise, we found my mango cake was missing. I spent so long perfecting it, and it was gone! I wasn’t going to let the mango cake thief go easily, and decided to investigate. All the campers were very upset, especially me, and Clo, with her usual kindness offered to help me track down the thief. Clo was a very smart person, and decided we should ask up at breakfast about it, and ask for some help and clues. In the end, we got Artist, a real-fi camper, Star, an adventure camper, Goose and Rea to help us in the mystery of the missing mango cake. We all met up in the garden, and decided to ask and investigate the mystery.
“I think we should go back to the place you left the cake and see if we find any clues!” said Goose, proudly. “Um, how will that help us? I think we should see all the cabins and check if anyone looks suspicious, what do you guys think?” Star replied strongly. “I’ll support Goose, I feel her plan is more logical” said Rea, and put a hand on Goose’s shoulder. “Um, Star’s plan looks better for this mystery, after all we want to end it as soon as possible,” Artist said, and took out this sketchpad to draw. Clo, unusually quiet, had a weird look on her face. “Guys, yesterday in the cabin, when you showed us the cake, I saw someone’s eyes looking at us. At first I was about to think and point it out as spying, but I didn’t, because I didn’t have proof. Now, thinking about it, I feel certain she was wearing a fairy tale hairband, you know the one you get in the shops. Not many people have it, so I say we check whoever does and we’ll find out” said Clo, and poured out everything like a waterfall. “It also looked as if it was new, so we should check with Vi, the fairy tales leader and ask her about it.
“Hello there, I’m happy to help you!” cried out Vi, and sat on a bench. “Well- Um we were wondering if you know anyone in the cabin who took a new hairband?” asked Artist, looking very shy. “Umm, let me see!” Vi replied, and quickly went into her cabin to fetch her notepad. “5th July- 7th July- 11th July, Ah, here it is- It says that Jojo bought the latest hairband. Why do you ask though?” she asked, curious.
“No real reason, we were uh, just getting some ideas for our weekly SWC fanfic, and just wanted to put the SWC shops in it!” Rea scuddled, looking guilty as she lied. “Alright, now we know who it is, thanks to Clo and her sharp eyes, along with everybody else of course! This mystery is officially finished” said Star happily. “Um, since we helped you find the culprit, will you give us some of your mango cake if it’s still left? questioned Goose, looking particularly suspicious. I laughed loudly and agreed. Now only one thing left, catch JoJo!
Turns out, JoJo was walking this way across, and eavesdropped on our conversation, took the cake during the night, and was too busy to eat it. We happily took our cake, and cut it to celebrate script’s victory. As promised, I gave a slice to all the detectives, and one to JoJo as well, to be kind.
“Cheers!” all the script campers shouted, and happily enjoyed the cake.
Part 2 : Restaurant Review
941 words
“Good Morning Eaves-ians, and I’m hoping you’re all having a good day! I’m Frank Jasper, a Eaves News reporter reporting for duty! Today, I’ll be interviewing Abby River, a frequent customer at Amardot’s restaurant!” said Frank, smiling and laughing over the camera while he was being recorded.
The Times of Eaves, the newspaper company, personally asked me to give a review on Amardot’s restaurant, since I was such a frequent visitor there. I felt honoured beyond brief when I was asked, and accepted the offer that very minute. I always hoped to be an actor, but never got the chance to perform in front of the major directors of Eaves, and other countries. Lots of people read and saw Times of Eaves, and this might be my chance to get into a movie and finally be an actor. I woke up early that day, brushed my teeth, took a good bath, and wore my favourite pair of clothes, my dark green sweater along with my jeans. I was very excited about my interview, and tried thinking about what I’d talk about the restaurant. My time had finally come, and I nervously daydreamed about it.
“Hello there, Abby! I’m Frank Jasper, a reporter in the Times of Eaves, and I’mn here to interview you about the Amardot’s restaurant. What would you like to say about it?”
“I’ve been coming here every week for 3 years, and I’ve had a great time altogether”
“Would you like to tell us about it and your first visit?”
“The first time I came was on 13th July, 2019. I first came up with my family, including my Mom, Dad and brother. We were meeting after quite a long, since me and my brother were too busy with our new jobs, being lawyers and pilots. I had finally got a leave from my duty as a pilot for a week, and I invited them over to Eaves Town, and tried out this new restaurant with them. I’m a huge fan of Italian food, especially since I lived in Italy for 4 years. My all-time favourite Italian food was pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza as our first dish, to try out the food here, also to make sure it’s worth the money. Well, it was worth a lot! The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the cheese melted in our mouth. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted since I moved from Italy, and relished it completely. My brother also loved it, and we both ate it ourselves. Mom and Dad weren’t really a fan of Italian and cheesy food, so we ordered a fruit salad from them. That was the best salad ever, full of all the fruits you could ever know, including some you didn’t, which surprised me since food was one of my favourite topics to study and research on! Afterwards, we got chicken pasta. Usually, the chef’s put in the tiniest amount of chicken, and give a whole load of plain, boring old pasta. Well, this didn’t apply here, the pasta was so full of chicken, I could hardly spot the pasta, even though there was plenty. We also ordered coffee and some bubble tea at the end, and it was just like that expensive bakery in Italy, except it was for 1 dollars and a half. Me and my family really enjoyed it there, and the best part of all, we only had to pay 25 dollars for it all” I nervously said.
“Wow, that’s a truly amazing story Abby, perhaps you can tell us more about why you came here every week, and about the restaurant and chef’s ways”
“Yes. I’m a girl who lives alone in a small apartment, and sometimes it really got boring to eat the meals alone everyday, since I didn’t have any friends living here either. I was quite busy with my work on weekdays, but I always tried to come up to Amardot’s, which is around 1km far from my house. First of all, I’d like to talk about the workers and chef’s. They are the kindest and friendly people ever, and give me a 50% discount every time to reward my loyalty to them. They always sit down, chat and have a cup of tea with me if I please, and we all have a good time together. If you’re thinking about new customers, they are pleasant and friendly to all, despite their time in Amardot’s. Every worker is very jolly to talk to, and also motivates you when you’re having a bad day. They also make as you wish, and can cook any dish outside of the menu if you please. After a long day from work, I had a craving for a mixed berry smoothie. I walked 2miles along, but no one was ready to make it. Sad, and tried, I decided to stop here and have coffee instead, but they made me a fresh smoothie, even though it was out of the menu! The staff is very friendly, the food is amazing, this restaurant is very comfortable to pass by for a few hours, and it totally is creative and unique. I recommend you all to try it out, and I rate it 5/5. That’s all I wanted to share, have a great day!”
“Thank you, Abby, for sharing your lovely opinion and experience with Amardot’s. I’m sure the community will find this fascinating, and will definitely give it a try here. This is the end of the interview, I hope you enjoyed it here, and make sure to suggest if you want more interviews like these!”
Part 3 : Advise
515 words
Welcome Stans-Middle-Schoolers!
I’m Iris, and welcome to my advice column. This is a column I give advice to people, and put it in the school newspaper. If you have any problem, don’t fret, I’ll be here to help, post a note about it in my letterbox, Miss. Here’s Advice!
My neighbour doesn't like mangoes. What should I do?
By Sophie
OMG! That is truly a huge problem- How can’t anyone not like mangoes? To make your weird neighbour like mangoes, sneak into her house at night, take all her food she has, and her money for buying food too, and put a dozen mangoes and stuff it in her house instead. She’ll have to eat them, or she’ll starve. And, once you eat them regularly, you’ll get used to them and like them. Aren’t I smart? Welp- THIS PROBLEM WAS VERY COMPLEX
What do I do if I have writer’s block and I have hardly written anything this session?
By Pandora
Ahh, I feel you- I’ve been a frequent patient with this problem more than a thousand billion times. The cure is to motivate yourself and give yourself time. Sometimes you don’t feel like writing, and that’s perfectly alright. Chill out, and don’t force yourself to write, or you’ll get worse. Give yourself some time to enjoy yourself and your hobbies, say as read a book, or play some tennis with your friends. Motivate yourself to write, and make sure you want to write, and you don’t have to write. Search up some quotes on google, ask your friends and fellow SWC-ers for some motivation, and we’ll be happy to help you. Make sure to take it slow, it takes quite long to recover from this bad, evil disease, but you’ll soon get over it. One thing to cheer you up, I have some mango cake left from my #ScriptFTW celebration, I’ll give you a piece while you recover in the sickbay.
I really love my siblings. but whenever I just want to sit down and do something nice, they jump on me!!! what on earth do I do??
By Kat
Ah, siblings are a pain. Well, at least that’s what I’ve heard from, since I don’t have one, but would absolutely love it if I had one. Ahh, I see- To get rid of irritating siblings, and perhaps do the weekly for your cabin, just listen to your siblings. They always trouble you for something, figure it out, deal with it, and make sure they’re satisfied, so they don’t come back to you again. 1 SEC- they came back again? Okay, lemme see- There’s only one cure for this problem, stuff your siblings belly with mangoes from the mango field till they get a stomach ache. Nobody likes them, so they’ll probably lie down, sleep or rest for it to go, just the right time for you to do something nice.
Super sorry for my weird advice this time, these were very hard to do. Anyways, Bye, and remember to ask advice, from the one and only, Miss Here’s Advice! Have a non-problem day!

Hello!
You are invited to Iris’s _(age)_ birthday!
Iris, a known weirdo, who’s also a crazy writer, reader, swimmer and theatre nerd, invites you to her birthday party. She’s invited all her close friends, and you are one of the special ones in that category to be a part of celebrating her birthday. Be sure to keep your day, and stomach free for 23rd July, as you're a part of Iris’s birthday party, the one and only.
Iris is super excited about her party, so make sure you come to make her double excited. She’s receiving a lot of gifts and presents, but it’ll be okay if you get some more, make sure it involves mysteries, she absolutely loves them.
The birthday party is held on 23rd July, Saturday. It will be held in a mystery room, so put your detective hat on, and get your books, cause we will be locked in a room, with our only hope to solve the clues and puzzles to break out. Don’t worry, there will be a lot of food and drink available, especially including mangoes.. We’ll also be having a 300 inch screen, showing SWC’s main cabin and all the chaos and chats going around. There will be diaries and writing material available, so don’t worry if we have cabin wars! We can have wars and solve riddles at the same time, right?
Anyways, Iris hopes you’ll join her in her party!
xoxo, signed,
Iris

Ding Dong!
The bell rang, and everyone walked happily out of the history class. History was particularly boring this semester, and everyone was glad it was finally the end of school. “Hey, Audrey!” Mia said, sweating and puffing. It looked like she did a workout to catch up to me. “Hey, Mia! What happened?” I finally responded, sounding cheerful. “You said you just recently moved here, well the least I can do as your friend is give you a small tour of my favourite places in Treant” she answered excitedly. “Sure, that would be great!” I cried out, even though I felt disappointed since I planned on visiting the library today.
“Okay so- I have 5 important places to show you in Treant. First of all, the Pixie Beach. It's a beautiful clear water beach, with white sand. It's like the weekend hangout place for us, Treatians. It's mostly called pixie beach, because you get a view of the sunset AND sunrise here, and the beach looks all shiny when the sun glows on it. It looks truly beautiful, something like shiny pixies!” her eyes shone as she said this. “Second, we have the ride of doom! It's a roller coaster overlooking the sea, and is the craziest roller coaster formed you could have ever seen- no, seriously, look-” she said, pushing me ahead and pointing towards it.
It was amazing, I-I have no words to describe it. It was the longest roller coaster EVER made, and it looked like one round could take about twenty minutes. The tram rolling on it looked like a boat, with seats, and robotic pirates. The coaster was made in all blue, and had a screen surrounding the whole thing, making it look like you're in the sea. A wave sound came when the roller coaster went higher, and a splashing sound when it decreased. It truly looked like the most wonderful ride ever, and I put it in my “Things to see in Treant” list.
“Next, we have the Ballso Street! It's a normal street, like you'd see anywhere, but has all the shops you'd ever need to buy from. You can get almost everything from here, and is like the local stop for tourists when they come visit here. Not too great, but defiantly a landmark.” she said, putting herself on and using hand actions. I wondered if she took part in the school theater.
“Fourthly, we have this candy shop called Canto's. It sells all the candies you ever knew of, as well of some you don't know. It's a huge candy chain, come all the way from America to here. It makes the best candy, and is a place where you can usually find crying children, begging their Mom's for candy. Haha, anyways.. Now, for my last and favourite! The…. haunted graveyard! The haunted graveyard is just a park, so don't worry. It's a park made in inspiration of halloween, designed with grass painted in black, caves, and bats and all sorts of things. It's an amazing walk through, but not too great if you're scared of scary things, unlike me. They also have like people scaring others, and a scary movie theater. My favourite part in it, is hollow's espace rooms. It's a place, full of rooms where they trap you in, and it's all scary-halloween themed, with complex clues and riddles to solve, I've gone their 2 times, and also had a birthday party there once. It's totally amazing!” she said without taking a single pause, and sighing at the end.
“Wow, I never knew Treant has so many things to explore- And more importantly, I would have never known if it wasn't for you, thanks Mia!” I exclaimed, seriously shocked.
“Ahh, no need to thank me! Oops, it's 4pm, time for my tennis class, I'll see you later!” she cried out, and rushed quickly.
