Introduction to Me
Hiya! I’m Iris and I use she/her pronouns. One of my writing goals is to reach my word goal, and to not give up writing a story in the middle of it like I often do.

“Hmph. I’m Rageblitz of Elegyclan. Now do you want to know everything about me and my kits, or are we good? Because I most certainly am not answering any more questions.” *This cat filled her with the rage. Like her name. But not enough rage for her to lash out. But still. This cat annoyed her. “And now, answer some from me. Who are /you/? Are you in Elegyclan? I don’t know if I’ve seen you before, although I forget a lot. But who are you?” *Rageblitz stood up and started circling the tom. He looked like two cats. Wait, /was/ he two cats? No, no. He only seemed like one. /Had/ Rageblitz seen him before? No, she didn’t think so. A slight breeze blew through her fur, ruffling it up. She quickly licked it down, embarrassed. How could she make a fool of herself like this? She couldn’t.*

*A tired she-cat dragged herself over to the medicine cat. Leopardwhisp had just walked, dragged herself, all the way around camp. It was tiring. Was it worth it? In her mind, yes. She was staying in shape. But on the downside, her front legs ached.* “Fawnhop, hello. Is there anything I can have for my legs? Front ones, they’re aching like crazy.”

“No, no I am not kidding. This is real. And as far as I know, I'm the only one who has ever gotten paralyzed. And it was my stupid mistake. I was asleep, and it was storming. And then a tree fell on me. It's as simple as that. And as sad as that. I didn't want it to happen, but now here I am. And besides, you'll be fine, darling. This is the way of the clan. The way that it has always been, the way that it always will be. I've witnessed many deaths in my time, from assessments to what ever, but do not fret. /You will be fine!/ And I'm surprised no one has told you. I was told early on. I trained for what seemed like forever to get to where I am now, and where I am now isn't too good. My front legs hurt from dragging myself around all day, my back legs I can't feel, I can't run, I can barely hunt, I can barely do anything! And because this is the way of the clan, she most certainly will not cancel it! This is the way it is and this is the way it has always been.”

“Why do you need to talk to her? She's /my/ mentor after all, and besides, she must like me more than you because /I/ didn't get warrior's ceremony postponed. But fine, I'll answer you. No, no I have not seen her. Not since my warrior's ceremony. I've been kind of busy, you know. Half my vision is blurry, we're on these floaty thingies, and I don't know if any of my friends are alive. I haven't seen any of my clanmates on these thingies except for my mama and now you. Well, I haven't talked to them. I've probably seen a few of them. I've been in this clan for, what, thirteen moons now? I still don't know everyone. You probably don't either. And besides, why are you asking me about Cinnamondust? She's probably on a different boat or something, I'm just saying. It's probably true. There's so many boats and we haven't all had the chance to see each other together in a long time.” *Worry played around in Monarchflutter's mind. Had something happened to Cinnamondust? Sure, she could be mean at times, but Monarchflutter still loved her as a friend. She'd taught her lots of things, after all. Monarchflutter frowned. Of course Cinnamondust was alright, why wouldn't she be?* “Yeah, yeah. I'm sure she's fine. Cinnamondust is strong, she /has/ to be alright. I mean sure, she only has one eye, but still. She's fine, she has to be.” *Monarchflutter said this more to comfort herself than Otterchase because now she was starting to worry. And was Otterchase not telling her something? Probably. He seemed like the type of cat to have secrets.* “Why do you need to talk to her? I'm feeding the whole clan with this, it /will/ provide. You can't provide for the clan seeing as you haven't caught one bit of prey. You should try harder.” *And with that, Rageblitz picked up the rabbit with her mouth, the weight of it weighing her head down a little bit, but she still managed to hold her arrogant head up high and walk away, droplets of blood dripping from the rabbit. She didn't care about Waywardflame, most certainly not! Not even if he /was/ her clanmate. He was just a thorn in her side, annoyingly painful.*

“The muscles. I've been trying to stay in shape, you know, by dragging myself all the way around camp to strengthen my front legs. It works, but then they hurt like crazy, if you know what I mean.” *Leopardwhisp gazed down at the herbs Fawnhop had set in front of her.* “So which ones can I take?”

*Leopardwhisp had never thought about it that way. She blinked, it was a new way to look at things. /Was/ she mad? Yes, but at the same time, no. She was made about what happened, but then again, this was who she was. Could she ever go back and change it?* “Well,” *She said slowly.* “You… you're kind of right, but I can't imagine being able to use my legs again after all these moons. And it's been many moons. I just have gotten used to not being able to use my back legs. I know that having my back legs paralyzed means that I can't run, can't hunt, can't fight like any of you, and it also means I can't give birth to my own kits, but I couldn't be more content with my life. Yes, I get muscle aches and all that junk, but I am proud of who I am and wouldn't change it for the world.”

*Monarchflutter jumped back, astounded at the fact that a cat older than her could cry like this. And wow, Otterchase was crying. At this rate, he was going to wake every single cat up! And then they'd all be angry and grumpy the next day. And that wouldn't be fun, especially when they blamed it on Monarchflutter /instead/ of Otterchase! Of course Otterchase would escape without a angry glance because he was a deputy, so important. Monarchflutter rolled her eyes. Everyone would hate her for the rest of time unless she stopped this crying madness. But she had to do it nicely. Being nice to someone who had caused her so much anger and annoyance was not going to be easy, but she could always try. She bent down towards the wailing deputy.* “Shush. You're going to wake up the entire clan of cats that's on this floaty thingy. And you /do not/ want to seal with kits who didn't get enough sleep.” *Little did she know, Otterchase probably /had/ dealt with kits who hadn't gotten enough sleep, but she didn't know he even had kit. Monarchflutter didn't know anything about Otterchase except for that he was deputy of Riverclan, he had Cinnamondust as a mentor too, and he was very annoying. So who was she to give parenting advice?* “Come on, stop crying. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to be a big deal. It's just payback for what you did to me all those moons ago.”

Prompt: Will the two main characters fall in love?
Answer: It is certain
TW: smoking, cancer, slight kissing
Title: It Is Certain
Lila took slow steps towards the door.
This was it.
This was her prom.
Prom, what a silly word. Prom sounded weird, as if it were a word in a toxic beauty product. But here Lila was, in makeup and a ball gown. She and her date, Jason, didn't know each other that well, and being the only ones who didn't get a date to go to prom, they had decided to go together. It'd be weird, they had decided, if Jason had picked Lila up. So Lila, being the strong, independent, woman she was, drove herself.
She went to prom that night not looking for love, but looking for a good time. Recently, Lila had found out that her mother had lung cancer. Her mother smoked, yes, but even with lung cancer, she still smoked. It was sad: no matter what Lila did, her mother smoked. It pained Lila to see her mother in this condition, but there was nothing that could be done. Lila was only 17, after all. Her birthday was tomorrow, and, wow, she was about to become 18. She had planned to live with her boyfriend, Lucas, but they had broken up a month ago to the day. She had loved him, but he had said that they needed a break.
And here she was. With a date, no boyfriend, a sick mom, and standing in front of the door to what some may say was the biggest night of their life. Lila took a deep breath and opened the door to streamers, confetti, glitter and balloons. The music blared in her ears as she walked towards Jason. He was sitting alone at a table in the corner, a cup of punch in his hand. When he saw Lila, he stood up and pulled out a chair for her to sit in. She gratefully accepted it, sinking down into it, her gown poofing up all around her. She blushed and pushed her poofy dress down.
“Um, you look lovely tonight,” Jason said.
“Uh, um, thanks, you look great too,” Lila replied, blushing.
Both of them sat in silence for a moment, blushing and staring at their shoes. The song switched to Never Ending Story. Jason smiled at Lila, pulling her to the dance floor. The duo danced the night away, smiling, blushing, laughing.
And then the mood changed.
It was a slow song.
It was a love song.
It was Perfect. Literally, the song playing was Perfect by Ed Sheeran.
Couples started dancing, ladies resting their heads on their date's shoulder. Lila looked into Jason's chocolate brown eyes and smiled. He put his arm around her waist and she rested her head on his shoulder. When the song ended, there was a magic moment between the two and they kissed.

Kindness- 470 words
When I was in third grade, I was a mess. I was way too passionate about lots of things. And way too guilty about lots of things.
The Student Council of my elementary school would set up a shop about twice a month in the morning, selling items that were things that only elementary school people could want; pencil, pencil grips, emoji key chains- these were a huge hit-, pens, you know, all that fun junk that would be broken within the month.
Well, one day, I came to school early to buy some of this easily breakable junk. I was bundled up in my winter coat, it being winter and winter being very cold where I live. I bought some pencil grips. Those were really cool to have, and me, being what people would see as a nerd, wanted to fit in so I bought some and had 25 cents left over. And this being an elementary school, there was a kid wailing on the stairs because he didn't have enough money to buy any of the junk being sold. I went over to him.
“Are you okay?” I had asked, concern in my eyes.
“Leave him alone, he's fine,” A lady had said.
This lady was rather rude, and probably one of the reasons for my anxiety today. She walked away without a second glance at me.
This made me feel bad for the boy. No one cared about him, not even the teachers, third grade me had thought. Or something along the lines of that. I can't really remember- this was years ago.
And me, being the “rebellious” third grader I was, gave the boy my 25 cents. I'm pretty sure that the lady had glared at me, and most likely took the money from him for her own cause, making him wail like crazy all over again. Nevertheless, I still felt good about what I had done.
Reflecting back, that kid was throwing a full on tantrum. I should not have given him the money, no matter how much he screamed and cried. That sounds mean, yes, I know, but I assure you that he was a total brat back in elementary school and I was too blind to see it. But I hope that the money made his day, whether or not he deserved it. Back then, I was way too guilty about not giving him the money. I was way too passionate to do the right thing even after the lady had told me to not give him the money. I was one mess of a third grader, but I'm better now. I've learned from my mistakes. I'm wiser, more mature, and older than I was. This was an act of kindness for both him and me in a way,

Eleven stood in the doorway of the questioning room, blood running from her nose. She gazed down at the body of an innocent police officer. What he had done to her was nothing. But in Eleven's mind, it was something bad. He had said to her that her powers didn't exist. That she was faking them. Well, she certainly showed him. But it was how she showed him that mattered. She had killed him. She's used her powers, lifting him up against the ceiling, and gripped his throat with her powers, suffocating him until he died.
This police officer had been questioning her because she had been claiming to have powers. Of course, this officer was working for the government secretly, but Eleven didn't know that. She had just proven her point that she did have powers. But by proving her point, it ended in a mess.
Chairs were toppled over across the room, the table was flipped over, papers were everywhere, coffee all over, and there was a body lying dead on the ground. Just because she had wanted to prove a point, there was a person dead. Now she was in trouble.
Mike stormed into the room, stopping suddenly at the mess.
“Oh, El, what did you…” He trailed off, seeing the tears running down El's face.
“I- I did not mean to,” Eleven replied, panick and guilt in her voice.
“But El… this isn't good, no, no no, it isn't good,” Mike began running his fingers through his hair, thinking long and hard about what could be done to cover up this mess. He pulled Eleven in close for a hug, holding her tightly. Eleven sobbed, embracing the hug, gripping on to Mike for support. Mike let her cry, waiting for it to be over. Once she was done, she pulled away, wiping the blood from her nose on her sleeve, leaving a dark red stain.
“Mike, what am I going to do?”
“El, don't worry. You'll be fine. Lets get you back to your cabin.”
The duo walked hand in hand, out of the police station. How no one saw them or asked them about what they were doing was a mystery. A mystery that was not to be dealt with on that day.
Mike opened the passenger door of the car for Eleven, letting her in. She sniffled and buckled her seatbelt, not wanting to get in trouble with the law anymore. Mike climbed in on the driver's side of the car and shut the door with a loud slam. He banged his head against the steering wheel in annoyance and hopelessness.
“Why, El, why? Now your dad is gonna have to come and fix this.”
“I-I am sorry. I did not mean to.”
Mike sighed.
“It's fine, it's fine,” He grabbed her hand and squeezed it. “We'll figure this out, okay?”
Eleven nodded and squeezed back, leaning in for a kiss.
The duo kissed and drove off, unsure what the future held.
Part 2: Character Voice
926 words
Character Voices
1- Eleven is a person who says as few words as possible, while also saying as many as possible. For example, if someone was going to push a button that would destroy the world, she wouldn't say “Don't.”, she'd say “Do not.”, although she most likely wouldn't talk and instead would use her powers to stop the person. Because of this, she is the type of person to charge head first into battle if someone annoys her. This personality trait is called ‘irritable’. Even though she's irritable, or angered easily, she can be sensitive. Because of her sensitivity to words said to her, she becomes irritated very quickly. These may sound the same, but here's why they aren't. For Eleven, irritable means that she gets angry easily and acts on it right away, while sensitive means that something pains her for a long time. But she can still have a good time hanging out with her friends!
2- Mike is quick to do whatever it takes to protect his loved ones. Unlike El, he usually gets stopped from charging into battle right away by people who care about him. But he still cares about his loved ones, whether that be friends or family. He can be rebellious at times, going against what someone tells him to do, although there have been times where he has listened to the person. Mike is a curious person with a big imagination. He mainly imagines monsters and creatures from Dungeons & Dragons, but also imagines what life will be like in the future for him and El. He can get curious about Eleven's powers and also about crazy theories and ideas that don't exist, but might as well learn about them anyway! There's no stopping him from trying to save the day.
Scene
Note: these are not exactly right, I haven't watched Stranger Things season 1 in a very long time, but these are very close to being right.
1- Eleven
The rain coated me in cold water as I ran through the woods. I had just ran out of a restaurant because some man had talked to a lady on a weird thing connected to the wall with string and told her that I was here. I was scared. I thought that the man was friendly. But no. He had just exposed me. Soon Papa would find me, and I did not want to go back to the place, I did not!
I had escaped Papa through a weird pipe. I barely fit. And then I had run to this restaurant because I was hungry. And then I stole fries. And then I got chased. And now here I am. I am wearing a big yellow thing and no shoes. The pine needles from the tree hurt my feet with every step, but I must keep going. I do not want to go back to Papa, I do not! He was mean to me. I thought I had loved him. I realize now that I do not. He was mean to me, cruel, even.
And then I heard voices. Two- no three- no, maybe… four? Yeah, yeah. Four voices. Boy voices. They could not be Papa, no no no! They could not be, and they could not work for him. They are too young. I stepped away from them, my foot landing on a twig and breaking it with a loud CRACK! The boys stopped their conversation, and looked around. I slowly emerged from the bushes, fear in my eyes, dirt on my feet, water all over me. I shivered at their stares. There were not four of them after all, there were three of them.
Some part of me knew that they would help me. But for now I was scared.
2- Mike
My and the boys were walking through the woods with our bikes, rain running down our faces. We'd been nervously searching for Will for a while now, but we hadn't found him. Heck, we weren't even supposed to be looking for him! We were supposed to be sitting inside like scaredy cats. And we were not scaredy cats! Our parents couldn't just tell us to sit still while our friend was missing! We were determined to find him, no matter what it took!
We sneaked out of our houses and met up on Mirkwood and biked over to where Will's bike was found. We took our bikes with us as we went into the woods. I remember Dustin staying behind for a split second before scrambling to catch up with me and Lucas. We walked for a while with no luck. The only luck we had was finding water because we were thirsty. The only water we got, however, was rain. It was refreshing at first, but now we were just cold. We shivered as we walked.
Lucas stopped. "Come on, guys! This is hopeless! We've been walking for hours, we'll never find him! Plus, we passed that tree at least seven times! We need to go back. We're going in circles.“ He sighed, defeated. ”Look, I want to find Will too, but we've been looking for him for hours. Might as well give up now.“
Lucas started to turn away, but I stopped him. ”Would Will give up on us? No! He would continue on! He would find us! He would not res-"
CRACK!
We all froze and turned towards the sounds. What was it? Could it be Will?
Out came a boy- wait, no. A girl. She just had very, very short hair. She came out from the bushes wearing a yellow shirt and she was soaking wet.
At that moment I knew that she'd be mine for the rest of my life.

———-
Jane stood nervously in the beauty room. Her papa, Jim, and her mama, Joyce, stood beside her, tears in their eyes as they looked at their little girl who wasn't quite so little anymore. Yes, she was five foot six, but that was nothing compared to her six foot six papa and her six foot groom. This was it. She was getting married. Married to a boy she had met in the woods many years ago, just about ten. It was love at first sight for the couple, but they didn't admit it to eachother until much later, a fact that they both regretted.
“You look beautiful, honey,” Joyce told her.
It was true. A long, silky, white dress framed her hourglass shaped figure. Her once short, long, brown hair was in a tight, elegant bun. Diamonds and jewels were in her jewelry, her hair, her dress. Her diamond stiletto heels made her a height of five foot nine, towering over most.
Nancy, her soon to be sister in law, stood to the side, marveling at her amazing work she had just made. Nancy had become a famous fashion designer, makeup artist, and hair dresser, making billions and becoming the most wealthy person alive. Ever since the team had destroyed Vecna and the Upside Down for good, they all became famous, except for those lost along the way.
The ones that were lost were Max, Eddie, Jonathon, Argyle, Will, and Erica. It was sad, yes, but they did not die in sadness. They died in glory and fame. They died as the ones who stopped Vecna.
Lucas and Dustin were now roommates going to college for engineering on full scholarships. Dustin was dating Suzie and Lucas had sworn off all romantic relationships after he lost Max and Erica. He became moody, dark, and depressed. But today he managed to put on a good face, a suit and tie, and show up to the wedding.
Steve was a world famous race car driver. He, too, had managed to show up.
Robin was a lawyer, doing whatever she could to fight for woman rights. She and Nancy had gotten married a few years back.
And that was the gang. Or what was left of it.
Joyce gave Jane a quick hug before leaving to go sit down.
“Jane, don't worry. You look amazing. You will be amazing. You and Mike belong together,” Nancy told her, before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and leaving to sit down in the audience.
(But I'm confident when I'm with you)
Organ music started playing.
Hopper looked down at his daughter. “This is it, kiddo. This is it.” He took her arm and walked her down the aisle to where her future husband was standing, along with the priest and the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Groomsmen on the left, Mike's side. Bridesmaids on the right, Jane's side. Left to right it was Lucas, Dustin, Steve, and then Holly, Nancy, Robin.
Jane smiled as her eyes danced about the room. It was decorated with flowers, jewels, ribbon, lace, and glitter. It was beautiful. Her eyes landed and locked onto Mike's, her heart beating faster.
As she stood up on the platform and held Mike's hands, she knew that this was how it was supposed to be.
“Do you, Jane Hopper, take Mike Wheeler to be your lawfully wedded husband?” The priest asked, snapping Jane out of her trance, handing her and Mike a ring each.
“I do,” Jane responded, sliding the ring onto Mike's left hand.
“And do you, Mike Wheeler, take Jane Hopper to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
“I do,” Mike responded, sliding the ring onto Jane's left hand.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!”
The duo kissed and applause rose. It was a long, sweet kiss. There was no doubt in Jane's mind that many more would come.
(But when he loves me I feel like I'm floating)
The duo danced the night away with their friends, laughing and smiling the whole time.
- Three years later -
Jane was pacing nervously around her and Mike's bedroom, waiting for him to come back from the store. In her hand she held a pregnancy test. The thing that made that test special was that it was positive. She was excited, yes, but at the same time, she was nervous. It was their first child. What would happen? And this was a planned pregnancy- they both wanted kids, but what about the cost? The money that they needed that they didn't have. Jane made 70k as a librarian, more than lots of other people made, and Mike made 200k as a doctor. In total, that was about 270k, but it wasn't nearly enough to start a family with many kids.
The front door opened and slammed shut.
“El? I'm home!” Mike called out.
Jane's eyes quickly widened and she slowly walked down the stairs to the kitchen, test in hand.
“M-Mike? I have something to tell you.”
“Of course, you can tell me anything.”
Jane extended her hand with the pregnancy test in it. Mike took it. When he saw what it said, his eyes widened.
“I-Is this real?” He whispered. Jane nodded.
“I'm sixteen weeks pregnant. That's what the doctor said. I took the test this morning and then went to my doctor.”
“This is amazing! We're going to have kids, kids! Oh El, this is so amazing! We'll finally have the family we've always wanted!” Mike lifted Jane up by her waist and spun her around the kitchen, laughing and beaming.
“I love you, Mike.”
“I love you too, Jane.”
Mike knelt down and lifted Jane's shirt slightly, kissed her stomach, hugging her and her hugging him back
- Six months later -
“Push, push! Come on! One more push!” The doctor told Jane.
It had been a long six months waiting for the child to come. The couple didn't know if it was a girl or boy, they had chosen to keep it surprise.
In the delivery room was Jane, on the bed giving birth to her new child, Mike standing next to her squeezing her hand, Joyce and Jim watching from the side of the room, along with Mike's mom. His mom and dad had divorced years back. In the waiting room were Nancy, Robin, Steve, Dustin, Holly, and Lucas. A doctor stood at Jane's side, along with a nurse across the room.
“One more push, come on, you can do it!” Mike shouted at her.
Jane wailed and gave one last push, panting.
“Yes, good! Meet your child! It's a girl,” the doctor told her.
Jane wearly smiled as the doctor placed her daughter in her hands. She looked up at Mike.
“What should we name her?”
“How about… Maxine.”
“Yes, I love that.”
The couple exchanged a kiss, a kiss that meant the world to them.
(But you bring me back to life)
- Fifteen years later -
“I know what you did last night! I saw you!” Jane shouted at Mike as he walked in the door, coming back from work.
Mike's eyebrows shot up and his eyes filled with fear. How had Jane found out? Maxine sat on the couch, ready to watch the fight that was about to go down.
“U-uh, um, what do you mean, darling?”
“I. Saw. You. Last night. Downtown at Enzo's through the window. I saw you kissing another woman.”
Mike's face paled, panic coursing through his veins.
“Th-that was- uh, I mean- no I wasn't! I was at work, remember? You must have seen a different woman, heh heh.”
“And now you're calling me a liar?! Robin and Nancy both called me, saying that they saw you.”
“Nancy ratted me out? I-I mean, no no no! I wasn't!”
(When I start to tumble from the sky)
“I want a divorce! I know you've been seeing other woman, and now you're lying to me! You think I don't notice the bed empty? Because I notice, oh yes I do!”
“A-a divorce?” Mike's eyebrows shot up.
“Yes. Now go, get out. I'll see you in court.” Jane slammed the door behind him. She then sank to the ground, choking out sobs.
Maxine came up to her mother and hugged her. “Mom, it'll be okay. I know it will.”
“B-but this means I might lose you if I don't get custody of you.”
“I'll be fine, mom. I will.”
- 2 months later -
“You are now divorced, Mike Wheeler and Jane Hopper. Custody of Maxine Wheeler will go to Mr. Mike Wheeler. Meeting dismissed,” The judge said as she banged her gavel.
Jane's eyes filled with tears as she walked out of the court house. She would never see her daughter again. Never.
Mike held Maxine's hand tightly. She was his, not Jane's. Jane didn't deserve Maxine after what Jane had done to Mike. She'd broken his heart.
(Even when we fade eventually to nothing)
- Three years later -
“We honor Ms. Hopper's legacy as the saviour of Hawkins. She will be missed by many. She died because of an unreasonable cause, a crate of books falling on her. The impact was too much for her. We will remember her. Goodbye, Jane Hopper.”
Jane's funeral. She died at her job, at the age of 43. All of her closest friends were there, sobbing, along with her family, also sobbing. Maxine was there in the distance, crying silently and holding hands with Mike. As the crowd started to disperse, Mike walked up, leaving Maxine at the edge of the grave yard.
(Lately I've been feeling not alive)
“Hi, Jane. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have cheated on you. I have no friends, I lost my job and now barely make enough money to support Maxine and me, and I still love you. I do. I shouldn't have done what I did, I know. I'm sorry for that. You don't deserve what I did to you. I have no explanation for why I did it, nor do I want to say one. I just… I know that I ruined your life. And I'm sorry for it.”
Mike pulled a rose out of his pocket and left it on Jane's casket, walking away.
(But you bring me back to life)
- Forty years later -
Mike slowly walked to Jane's grave. He was old, 83. His bones and joints ached all the time, and he knew he was close to joining Jane in the ground. All of his friends and family had died, he only had Maxine who had followed in her mother's footsteps of becoming a librarian. She had a family now, three kids named Dustin, Lucas, and Nancy.
“Here rests Jane Hopper, beloved daughter to Jim and Joyce Hopper, beloved mother to Maxine Wheeler, beloved friend to all, and beloved saviour of the world. 1971-2014” was carved on her grey tombstone.
“I love you, Jane,” Mike whispered.
(You will always be my favorite form of loving)
Part 4: SWC Fanfic
823 words
Moss runs to the maze, panting. She had just received some very bad news. In her hand she clutched a newspaper from the Non-Fiction Press. The paper had just come out this morning. Moss ran to the group, waving the paper in her hand frantically.
"Guys! Did you hear? We're about to lose this session to our siblings, Non-Fiction and Fan-Fiction! They are now our enemies, be on guard at all times and do not, I repeat, do not trust them! We have two days left to win!“ Moss's voice was filled with panic.
”What? But- but they're our siblings!“ Re cries out.
”Please don't argue with me, Re, this is urgent and important. In order to win, we must sabotage their base. They've teamed up together, so they have double the points they'd normally have. Sabotaging bases are forbidden in Scratch Writing Camp, so I don't know how we'd-“
”Wait! Wait! Wait! We can do it legally because we have Robin on our team, and she can change the rules, you know. Because she's the co-host or something like that,“ Mira suggested.
Moss blinked. ”I mean… we could… but at the same time, no! We will win this our own way!“
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Loud footsteps followed a tall, giant, towering figure out of the maze.
”Oh no! It's the dagda! It's back for a second round!“ CJ screamed, cowering behind the group. ”W-we can fight you! We're not a-afraid to!“
A dark voice boomed like thunder. ”I am the queen of mazes, Ariadne! Do not be afraid! I am here to help you win!“ Ariadne paused. ”And you do sound afraid, CJ.“
CJ's eyes widened in shock. ”H-how do you know my name?“
”I know the names of everyone who enters this maze. Mira, Ayid, CJ, Zura, Elliot, Moss, Re, Iris. I know you all. I even know the spy.“
”Wait- what? What spy? There's a spy!?“ Zura yelped, glancing around nervously
”Yeah, you didn't know this? Well, obviously not, seeing as you all are freaking out over this. And the way to sabotage is I just give you permission, seeing as I'm pretty much a goddess. Don't know I'm not an official goddess, but here I am. I give you permission to sabotage Non-Fiction and Fan-Fiction. See ya.“ With a flip of her hair, Ariadne left back into the maze.
”No, wait! Don't go!“ Moss cried out. But it was hopeless. The queen of mazes was gone. ”Well. Now we have a spy among us. An imposter.“ Her eyes darted from side to side, scanning all of the group. ”Anyways,“ She said, snapping out of scanning the group. ”Sabotage. Lets get planning.“
The group planned for hours, the clock ticking down to when SWC would close. Everyone hurried to work harder and faster to get the plan done.
As the sun rose on the last day of camp, everyone was exhausted, worn out, but the plan was complete.
”Alright, now everyone, follow my lead, and if you see something, say something,“ Moss addressed the group.
”I haven't seen Erie since dinner last night!“ Myra blurted out, fear in her eyes.
Moss furrowed her brow as the group murmured in agreement. ”Hmm. Well that's not good. Let me know if she shows up, okay?“ When the group nodded, Moss took off. ”Come, we don't have time to waste.“
Myth Cabin walked to the Fan-Non-Fiction base, weapons, spells and songs ready.
”Alright, on my count. Ready… 1… 2… 3… FIRST WAVE, GO!“ Moss shouted.
The warriors went first, their weapons at hand. They fought their way inside the base, not wounding anyone.
”SECOND WAVE, NOW!“
The mages took off marching, spelling everyone with spells.
”THIRD WAVE, NOW!“
A beautiful melody came, followed by harmonies and more melodies joining in. The bards took off marching towards the base.
Once everyone was inside the base, Fan-Non-Fiction locked out, Moss looked around at all of the computers and gadgets.
”Who here can hack?“
Myra hand shot up. ”I can. What do you need?“
”Transfer all of their points to Myth cabin.“
The Myth Cabin watched breathlessly as Myra typed away at the keyboard.
”Done. All points have been transferred.“ Myra stood up. ”But not to Myth. They've been transferred to Thriller.“ A smirk appeared on her face. ”You see, we've always been tired of living in the shadows. So my cabin sent me to hack and win for Thriller! See ya later, losers!" Myra dive bombed out the open window, running off to her camp as fast as she could.
Everyone else stood in shock and walked home with their heads hung low in defeat.
That day was a sad moment in the history of Scratch Writing Camp. Siblings turning against eachother, a spy's cabin winning, and everyone else losing. We don't talk about that day and we never will. Just remember: Always trust your siblings and never trust anyone who claims to hack.

Iris's SWC Writing
16 roleplay responses I have forgotten to add ^^“
1- 80 words
*A calico cat slept on the deck, fast asleep, dreaming about who knew what. This cat in question was Monarchflutter, a Riverclan warrior. It had been a long moon, being on this floaty thingy. Wow, Monarchflutter had done a lot of things in her time here. But she wanted to do more. And before she could do more, she had to take a nap. Because she hated naps and was exhausted so of course she was going to take a nap to recharge!*
2- 83 words
*A sleep deprived Monarchflutter opened one eye and glared at Honeydawn, not realising it was the medicine cat. She was exhausted and this cat decided to wake her up? How rude.* ”Can't you see that I'm sleeping here? I need to rest so I can be ready for whatever else happens on these floaty thingies.“ *Monarchflutter opened her eyes, recognizing the golden molly. Dread washed over her.* ”I-I'm sorry. Just- watch where you're walking. Please. Some of us are trying to sleep here.“
3- 95 words
*An outraged Iris came storming from the trees, lyre in one hand, the other holding her rose in her hair to keep it from flying away. How /dare/ someone harm a squirrel!* ”You. Just. Harmed. That. Squirrel! What did it ever do to you, huh? That was rude. Now look at it, it ran away because of you, it's scared of you and now it's scared of all humans! It could have been friends with humans, but no! You just had to change that.“*Iris frowned at this person and dropped down to the ground, glaring.*
4- 54 words
*Iris blinked, confused. How do you get confused? Squirrels were squirrels were squirrels. They were all pretty much the same, right?* ”Who is this… C-cosmo? Is it a person? And also, squirrels are squirrels- they're all the same whether you like it or not. And they're all scared of us so stop hurting them!“
5- 86 words
*A dark figure stood on the deck of the floaty thingy. Monarchflutter never bothered to learn the name of the floaty thingy and she didn’t care. She decided what to do with herself, not anyone else, not even her own mama. She stalked the deck, looking out at the water all around her. It was a lot of water, way more than the duck pond. But she could still swim. Monarchflutter took a graceful leap off of the deck of the boat, splashing into the water.*
6- 90 words
*Monarchflutter's head popped up just before the angry she-cat had said that. She treaded in the water, a confused look on her face.* ”What do you mean? I never splashed you! You were all the way over there, and I was right here! That's not fair!“ *The calico molly dipped her head under water and swam to the left, away from the raging cat. Cats were so annoying at times. She popped her head back up.* ”Alright, look, I'm sorry, okay? I don't think I splashed you, but who knows.“
7- 50 words
”Are you /sure/ you were splashed? You don't look wet to me. And besides, what's a little water anyways? I swim /all the time/ and I /never/ worry about getting wet or anything!“ *Monarchflutter dipped her head back under and swam back to the original spot she had been in.*
8- 61 words
*These words triggered the calico cat. How dare this other cat speak to in the manner? It wasn't fair or nice! Monarchflutter barred her teeth, a growl rising in her throat. She answered this cat, ignoring what she had said.* ”Who are you and what clan are you from? If you're from that one clan I'm thinking of, now I understand.“
9- 49 words
”Oh come on. Tell me. Please? I want to know. And why are you so angry? It's just a little bit of water, not that bad. You're overreacting. It's like you're going to fight me or something.“ *Monarchflutter's head bobbed underwater once again, popping up a little ways away.*
10- 61 words
”Ah, thank you, Fawnhop.“ *Leopardwhisp gratefully accepted the herbs, eating them. The herbs left a sour taste on her tongue, but that sour taste was good in a way, yet it was also bad. She let the taste linger on her tongue for a bit longer before swallowing.* ”Thanks again.“ *A pause.* ”Do you think that I help the clan enough?“
11- 46 words
*The blue-ish grey kit, Fishkit, snuggled up closer to her mama, longing for warmth. A warm, milky smell filled her nose as she suckled on, drinking the sweet, warm milk her mama had for her. She quickly swallowed it and nuzzled back up to her mama.*
12- 40 words
*Fishkit mewed, angry at the affection she was getting. She didn't like hugs, much less being licked by her mama. She stood up wobbling and walked away slowly, wobbling with every step, until she fell. A cry left her mouth.*
13- 33 words
*Fishkit batted at her mama's nose, annoyed that she thought that the kit needed help!* ”I no need hep!“ *She slowly took a few wobbling steps before falling back down, glancing at Duucklingdaze.*
14- 25 words
”Hmph.“ *Fishkit took a few wobbly steps away, tipping over, but not falling. She swished her tail, excited that she had done it.* ”I did!“
15- 36 words
*Fishkit tilted her head in confusion. Who was this… ”Nutmegfloat“? She sounded mean.* ”Who N…N…Numegfoat? Sonds men.“ *The grey kit yawned and curled up into a small ball of fluff, annoyed at herself for being tired.*
16- 57 words
*The kit landed with a small thump, the landing shocking through her body.* ”Oof. Ow, mama, you dop me hod." *Fishkit said, emphasising the last ‘ma’ of ‘mama’. She slowly scurried away from the nest, not wanting to stay in it. But of course, her scurrying was wobbly and slow and she fell down with a flop.*

Everything everyone cares about
Because it's what they can see
But
What about
Mental health
The things you can't see
The things that some might say
Matter more
Than physical health
What about it
What about
Depression
Stress
Anxiety
What about those
They hurt too
