Would this project be appropriate?
Recently I've had this game idea to spread awareness, but maybe not appropriate.
Basically, you're the leader of the military during a nuclear war and you have to launch as many weapons at cities as possible before your civilian population gets destroyed. When a city gets hit, it would say something like, “X Million Dead”. No blood, no screams, just maybe a muted “boom”. With this, I want to demonstrate the horrors of nuclear warfare.
Would this be allowed?

For one, nukes are not allowed, and for two, “X million dead” doesn't sound very appropriate at all. So I would say no.

Alright, is there anything I can do to make it appropriate for scratch? For one, nukes are not allowed, and for two, “X million dead” doesn't sound very appropriate at all. So I would say no.or is it too far gone

Has the Scratch Team specifically stated nuclear war isn't allowed? I've always thought the policy was simply “no blood or realistic-looking weapons”. If that's the case, nukes may be allowed if they're not drawn too realistically. For one, nukes are not allowed, and for two, “X million dead” doesn't sound very appropriate at all. So I would say no.
To the OP: the idea is pretty dark, but on the surface I don't really see much wrong with it, assuming you steer clear of explicit gore. If you're worried, maybe you could tone down the “x million dead” and focus more on other impacts, like societal collapse and nuclear winter.

Think! Is saying if you support a suggestion necessary? No! People can just tell by your constructive post after it. You have more freedom on your tone!
Forumers, especially new, may also get upset if you say “no support!!!” at them! They may take the whole post in a negative tone, and that makes them upset!
Instead, you can kindly say why their suggestion has cons. They will take it as “constructive criticism” and be happy. - dertermenter

I think they are, although they are technically “weapons”, but ST doesn't seem to take any actions against any weapon other than guns For one, nukes are not allowed,
and for two, “X million dead” doesn't sound very appropriate at all. So I would say no.I'd say yes

No, it’s violence. It’s basically saying violence is needed to protect your nation. Here’s a example: Germany in ww2 but with nuclear weapons. Now pretend that’s the character you’re indirectly playing as in your game.
Edit: I just realized it’s supposed to bring awareness so possibly change up a little. Now i’m a bit unsure. Might think about this in the morning.

This is my signature (it goes automatically under every post I make)! Here is a bit of advice on foruming, by the way. Don't do SAND. SAND means four words.
SAND means Spam, Advertising, Necroposting, and Derailing.
Spam is when a irrelevant message is sent to many places. Wiki Article: Spam
Advertising is when you promote your studios and projects. Wiki Article: Advertising
Necroposting is when you post on a old topic. It distracts other helpers! Wiki Article: Necroposting
Derailing is when you post something that is irrelevant to the topic, like minimodding. It is called thread hijacking. Wiki Article: Derailing(Derailing idea comes from this guy),
in the process of leaving scratch.

I think killings in text based games should be fine, cartoony killings are allowed on Scratch as FE or NFE, and text-based killings are one level below cartoony killings in terms of realismCan I just write something 26 million without the dead part?you should replace the x million people died with x million buildings destroyed Recently I've had this game idea to spread awareness, but maybe not appropriate.

Realistic/graphic killing (ban or NFE) –> cartoony killing (NFE or FE) –> text-based killing (should be FE, but might be NFE)

Probably, but I'd be careful and check for inappropriate content. Maybe ask people not to report it? Recently I've had this game idea to spread awareness, but maybe not appropriate.

aII toasters toast toast, but what happens when there are no longer toasters being produced? will their technology simply become obsolete, with humans moving onto bigger, better things? will toast become a distant memory, written in textbooks of the future as foods us simpler generations ate? who's to say! society is constantly moving, changing, evolving, ideas being built upon, improved upon, theories being proven or disproven. are we but a blip on the timeline? sure, our names may not be remembered, but that's not the point. you can make a change. you can make a difference. you can make the world better, even if you don't know yet. and the first step is to go for it. even if you are afraid of failure. going back to the example of toasters, do you know off the top of your head who invented them? no? have you used one? probably. so, even if you don't remember my name, if I was able to help awnser your question, that is enough. if I was able to help you, even in the slightest way, this could push you to continue with scratch and not give up after the program crashes, and maybe one day learn other programming languages and change the world. everything is a cause and effect reaction, new inventions lead to the technology of the future, and even as the generations of the past are slowly forgotten, their influence lives on to this day, affecting how the world eventually turned out and how it will be for generations to come.
and, without toasters, we wouldn't have toast.

My personal opinion is you better do a lot of research and then make sure the game is about awareness and not just killing everyone. Make sure it's evidently clear.
