Neither s, user nor stu are TLDs.
Also.. registering 6 domains for a link shortener wouldn't make much sense.
The current links aren't too long, too.

Signatures are the only place where assets links still work.

1 letter domains are incredibly expensive. for some of these, the scratch team would be paying upwards of 100 thousand dollars for no reason.

scrat.ch is probably more cost effective.

disclaimer: sometimes my posts are pretty critical of the scratch team (especially my older ones), but i really do

scratch & scratch team. jvvg made a short essay thing about the scratch team, which is a pretty good read, if you want a different perspective for the scratch team's actions.
