Add currentversion.scratch.mit.edu
You probably heard about api.scratch.mit.edu (Which only shows a number (And the JavaScript))
Why not make currentversion.scratch.mit.edu?
It is like api.scratch.mit.edu but is shows this:
Well, it will not only show 3.3, It will show the current version of Scratch

disclaimer: sometimes my posts are pretty critical of the scratch team (especially my older ones), but i really do scratch & scratch team. jvvg made a short essay thing about the scratch team, which is a pretty good read, if you want a different perspective for the scratch team's actions.

Something like that?
I don't really see why this would be useful. Just click the download button here, the version is in the name (you don't even need to download it) if you really need to know the version.

But we can make a shortcut as it will show under About in the footer Something like that?

what do you mean by “the current version of scratch”? scratch is built in many parts, so there isn't any specific current version of scratch.
above i sent an api that returns the current API version, if you want the current scratchr2 version, you'll need to parse the page for the version number.
and for the editor version and stuff, i think you will need to use github's API to get the version number from the scratch-gui package.json or something similar

bruh what-Prob another Scratch User made it If they didn't make it, then why was it a subdomain of “scratch.mit.edu”?
If you tried making a website with the subdomain “scratch.mit.edu”, you couldn't unless you own it. Doesn't that make sense?
If scratchers had the power to make websites with the subdomain of “scratch.mit.edu”, everything could go bad.

i think it would be better to leave it is. Scratch is version 3.0, and i can't think think of use case for an EXACT versionbruh what-Then it could be a subdomain inspired by Scratch (e.g. version.mit.edu)

Also, the Scratch Team owns scratch.mit.edu, so they can make subdomains of scratch.mit.edu

This would be a pointless waste of ST resources. Every part of Scratch has it's own version number anyways.
